So my plan is to invite her over for a slumber party, we talk, make up, and be friends again. Now the hard part is actually inviting her. How am I supposed to invite her over if I can’t even talk to her? We haven’t spoken a word to each other in days. This is gonna be so awkward. The next day I took the bus to school, I wanted to get there early so I can make a plan on how to talk to Alexis. I thought about it over and over again, but nothing. I wanted to talk to her in private and if it would be a long conversation I didn’t want us to be interrupted by the bell. I especially didn’t want any nosy gossipers to spy on us. Since the whole bit with Courdrory everyone, more specifically the girls, have been breathing down my neck.
We had block scheduling so Alexis wasn’t in my first period class, which I deemed more of a study hall than an actual class. Our teacher was pretty laid back, not that I was complaining. It gave me more time to come up with a plan. I had to think about our scheduling, there were only a few periods we had together. And I wanted to talk to her as soon as possible. As I was thinking I didn’t notice the small group of girls gathering around me. Our teacher had stepped out of the class to get some coffee, so he wasn’t around.
“Um, can I help you?” I asked.
“Yes, you can.” Answered the girl in the center. My guess is she’s the leader and it looked like she had a major problem with me.
“You can tell us what the deal is with you and Courdrory.” I looked at her. I was so confused.
“I’m sorry, what?”
“You heard me. What’s going on with you and Courdrory?”
“Okay, back up. Who are you? And why do you care if Courdrory is around me? We have the same classes, so it’s only natural for me to be around him. Plus I don’t want anything to do with that guy.”
“Watch what you say! Courdrory is the most handsome guy in this school. And to answer your question, my name is Gloria Woods. And the reason why I care is because I’m the most popular girl in school, not to mention the most gorgeous.”
Yeah, and the most annoying. Seriously take some grammar lessons.
“So it’s only natural Courdrory would want to be with me, but ever since he talked to you he’s been so distant. Avoiding me every time I see him. And whenever I try to talk to him, he always ignores me.”
And that’s a bad thing?
“My point is Courdrory is mine so stay away.”
“Okay. You can take him. In fact I don’t want anything to do with him.”
She looked at me with disgust, I could tell she was mad. Thankfully the bell rang, releasing me from the clutches of the conceded witch. I grabbed my stuff and walked out of the room. However, I could tell that girl wasn’t finished with me yet.
