The Shazam movie was released over the weekend at the time of this post. Also at this time I have not yet seen the movie but have every intention on doing so soon. Growing up Shazam, or Captain Marvel as he was called at the time, was one of the first heroes I saw. I have these tiny metal figures of Batman, Superman, and Shazam that I used to slam together fighting so much the pain came off their heads. I still remember Shazam's cape with the yellow trim and string making me think this hero for some reason tied a blanket around his neck for a cape. Later on some of the first comic books I bought were of Shazam and Superman which I also recall liking Shazam more that Superman in them. I've heard nothing but good things about the movie which not only leaves me hopeful for the character in cinema but also the future of the DCEU. But I guess if there is one thing to learn from our friend Nite Stick it's that the powers of Shazam are not for everyone!
