Applying for a student loan was one of the worst decisions I've ever made. I needed a way to pay all that money back.
I asked mother and father for help, forgetting how stingy they were with the family funds.
“¡Ve a buscar un trabajo y obtén tu propio dinero!” I heard mother yelling over the phone.
I was struggling in debt…
I needed to find a job. And fast.

Walking the streets of Meadowville, I was devastated. Almost no one in town had an open position.
I almost gave up hope until…
“Hey kid…” I heard around a corner. I looked to see a tall man in a dark gray trench coat, smoking.
“How old are you?” He asked.
“I’m nineteen.” I said.
He took another breath of his cigarette as he looked at me. “I’ve seen you walking around this block a lot. Are you looking for a job?” He asked.
“Yeah.” I said, feeling unsure.
His gaze shifted down to my chest. “Seems like you qualify.” He said.
He reached into the pocket of his jacket, and pulled out a card. “Come to that address when you're ready.” He said, handing it to me.
I looked down at the black card. It said:
696 pRODUCTIONS
w h e r e y o u r s e x i e s t d r e a m s c o m e t r u e
127 Prism Street
I was in shock really. It was a porn studio.

I took the card to Lucinda to hear what she thought of it. She laughed in my face.
“Oh god Mary, I’d never think you’d go that low! But hey, if you wanna bring yourself down to that level go ahead!” She said.
She saw the hurt look in my eyes, and switched her tune.
“Just kidding… Go ahead and do it. It’ll do you some good.” Lucinda said.
Part of me was unsure…
Part of me felt like this was wrong….
But I needed the money. I needed it. I had no other choice.
