A few days has passed since the incident of the odd fairy searching their camp to seek for some Pure Heart. Since then, Baruti never contacted Commander Moon about them stopping Mr. Heart or anything. It was almost as if the detective lost respect in Commander Moon.
There was also that odd man named Epic Supreme who she hasn’t got any word back from Enki either ever since meeting his teacher. She wasn’t even sure where the Yunlae was as he wouldn’t answer her calls. However, they gained a new member named Chanan who wanted to join after three greyhounds were chased off.
As Commander Moon sat on top of her den waiting to see if Enki would contact her, her ears twitched, and she turned her head to see Riverbird staring up at her. Hopping down, Commander Moon faced her Doctor. “What’s up? Have you received any dreams?”
Riverbird placed a paw on her cheek as she narrowed her eyes. “Hmph, apparently Iceheart’s kits have been chosen,” she grumbled. She then closed her eyes as she sighed. “Guess they might have powers or whatever.”
Commander Moon couldn’t help but purr. “Congrats to her,” she mewed. “That should lift her spirits.” Riverbird shook her head as she mumbled something about Iceheart’s unborn kits.
“I’m heading out to the Doctors’ Meeting with Trainee Feather,” muttered Riverbird as she passed by Commander Moon. Trainee Feather was smiling as he followed his mentor. “Maybe I’ll get more answers about these stupid powers.”
“Have fun,” Commander Moon mewed nervously. Lately, Riverbird has been moodier. It could be that her kits are expected to arrive here soon. Hopefully she’s not still mad about Enki…

Later, Commander Moon was awoken when she heard yowling that sounded like Cinderflower. Panicked, the purple molly rushed out of her den to find Cinderflower crying as Trainee Feather and Willowstream carried Sonicslash’s body to the Doctors’ Cave.
“What happened?” Commander Moon asked. Did those Docdin from the Monthly Meeting have anything to do with this? She spotted Chanan backing in the Guardians’ Cave while cringing at the blood.
“E…En…,” Sonicslash tried meowing before coughing up blood. Riverbird hurried with cobwebs and shooed Willowstream away so that her and her Trainee could work on Cinderflower’s mate.
“Don’t speak, you got that,” Riverbird snapped.
Cinderflower turned to Commander Moon, her tears turned into rage. “Did you magic friend do this?” She growled causing Commander Moon to flinch at her Campmate’s threat. “It sounded like he was trying to say Enki.”
Commander Moon lowered her ears, and she noticed her Campmates murmuring under their breaths. “How are you sure he was going to say Enki?” She retorted. For all she knew, he could’ve been trying to send a message.
“Yeah right, doesn’t line up with Lillian’s words,” Cinderflower growled.
Chanan jumped between the two mollies; his eyes wide. “Ladies, please stop arguing!” He cried. He was shaking from head to tail at the commotion that was erupting between the two.
Taking a deep breath, Commander Moon looked away. “You trust her more than me,” she whispered. Why was Lillian spreading rumors about Enki? It made her heart ache to know these words.
She was surprised when Chanan patted her on the shoulder. “There, there, I say hold a trial or contact him about this tom,” he explained. He shifted his small eyes from Cinderflower to Commander Moon. When no one spoke, he rubbed the back of his head with a nervous laugh.
“I’ll try and contact him,” Commander Moon mewed causing Chanan to perk up instantly. However, some of the others were unsure of the idea of having the Yunlae in their camp. She stood up and concentrated on her mind. “Enki, please come to camp.”
There was a breeze and the Guardians backed away when Enki showed himself to the cats. Trainee Feather gulped when he spotted the Yunlae before returning to his work on Sonicslash. “What happened to the tom?” Enki asked pointing at Sonicslash.
“Wouldn’t you have the answer?” Cinderflower growled. She unsheathed her claws before her paws ended up being frozen over.
Enki kept his cool as he made eye contact with the gray molly. “No, I wouldn’t harm a bystander,” he said coolly. Commander Moon sighed in relief that her friend wasn’t the culprit at all.
Riverbird sniffed. She then narrowed her eyes. “He’s…right, I don’t catch his scent on here,” she mewed. There was no satisfaction in her voice as she finished patching Sonicslash.
“H-how?” Cinderflower meowed. “W-who’s scent is it?”
“Don’t recognize it,” Riverbird grumbled closing her eyes. On the other hand, Trainee Feather was breathing heavy as he clutched onto the herb pile he had used on the Misty Family Guardian.
“Let’s say a former comrade of mine was behind it,” Enki told the light blue molly. When the other members fell silent to Enki’s words, he continued with his story. “If I hadn’t arrived, he would’ve finished him off.”
I didn’t think that his friend would come, Commander Moon thought feeling scared. She was so grateful to Shining Skies that her Yunlae friend had the heart to defend Sonicslash.
Cinderflower raised an eyebrow before turning her head to look at the Doctors. Riverbird still had her eyes closed while Trainee Feather was mumbling words under his breath. “Is my mate awake?” She asked.
As she said that, there was a bit of powdery blue stuff circling around her before she grew drowsy and fell asleep. “All that arguing must’ve wore her out,” Chanan barked.
“I thought I saw something in the air though,” Pigeon pointed out.
“It’s kinda late, so it’s hard to see,” Blacky mewed.
Enki then turned around. “I have some business to attend to,” he told them. He then lowered his gaze. “Be careful of that friend I told you about.”
After he left, Riverbird nudged Sonicslash who drowsily got to his feet. “You can return home tomorrow,” she growled. Sonicslash opened his mouth until Riverbird shoved him into the Doctor’s Den.
Everyone did the same and retreated to the dens. Commander Moon prayed that Moon Family would never have to deal with Sonicslash’s attacker as they already had enough trouble. She just hoped Cinderflower wouldn’t pursue further into the issue.
I knew Enki was a good guy, Commander Moon purred to herself.

When morning came, Commander Moon walked out of her den to find Trainee Feather waiting outside for her. She immediately sat down and tilted her head. “Something wrong?”
“Um, you should be weary of Enki,” he stuttered.
“What? You too?” Commander Moon snapped.
Trainee Feather flinched. “That’s all Blackstream told me,” He exclaimed. When he noticed Commander Moon glaring, he inched away from her. “Take it with a grain of salt, please?”
Not answering Trainee Feather, Commander Moon walked past him. “That story he told, it’s…” She lowered her ears to block out the rest of what he was going to say. Right now, she was in a bad mood.
“What’s given you the glares, miss?” Commander Moon hissed as she stepped back from the sudden red molly in her face. Staring at her, she noticed her eye color was the same green as Littletail’s. “Oops, did I scare you?”
“Who are you?” Commander Moon growled.
“Strawberry, I’m staying here as shelter with Pixiefluff,” purred the red molly. She then poked her nose with one claw as she gazed around the whole camp. “This is a very nice place.”
“WHO SAID YOU COULD STAY HERE?!” Commander Moon snapped. She caught her breath when Strawberry backed away with tears in her eyes. She was trembling from head to toe.
“R-R-River said I-I could stay,” Strawberry choked. She turned and bolted towards the clearing where the refugees stay. “It’s only for a little bit!”
Commander Moon shook her head. Calm down, she wasn’t mean to you, she told herself. Though it did bother her that Riverbird didn’t even wake her to introduce the new refugees.
“Riverbird doesn’t trust you,” Enki’s voice rang in her head.
Not wanting to respond, Commander Moon wandered out of camp to get some fresh air. If anything, maybe she was developing cabin fever from staying in camp all the time. As she trailed through, she caught scent of something familiar and something strange.
“Go away before I make you!” A male voice barked.
“Show him what you got, brother!” Another voice, that sounded like a girl this time, cheered.
Heart racing, Commander Moon raced to see who these young animals were attacking. She stopped and watched a small black and white wolf circling around a blue-gray skinned Villia who was standing there. His claws were shaking as the held onto his staff.
She recognized the two to be Wolf Fang’s pups Fang and Winnie. She hadn’t known that they were already made into Trainees already. “What’s going on?”
Trainee Winnie jumped and turned to see Commander Moon. “This man turned a Starbon into a fairy!” She woofed in her soft voice. She didn’t hesitate to flash a glare at the sulking man.
What’s a Starbon? Commander Moon wondered. She then placed a paw on her chin and thought of the fairy she met a couple days ago. Could that Sienna chick be a Starbon like these two pups claim her to be? “Why did you do that?”
“My name’s Sir Flock,” he stated. He started standing up straight as he looked Commander Moon in the eyes. “It is true what they said, but I had my reasons.”
Commander Moon held one paw out. “Spit it out,” she urged. Perhaps he wasn’t as bad as she thought he would be. It didn’t help seeing Trainee Winnie and Trainee Fang standing behind Sir Flock with hatred in their eyes.
“Sienna is my fiancée,” Sir Flock continued. “However, my father forbade us to marry as she is unfit in his eyes.”
Trainee Winnie perked her ears and she joined Commander Moon’s side. Her brother stayed put with his skeptical look as if not believing fully in Sir Flock’s story. It sounded convincing to Commander Moon, and she wished she got to hear more from Sienna.
“Aww, a tragic love story,” Trainee Winnie whimpered as she placed a paw on her forehead with a single tear forming her eye. “Ah, it reminds me of an ancient story.”
Sir Flock blushed and closed his eyes as he thought of what story Trainee Winnie was referring to. Commander Moon knew what she was talking about but hoped it didn’t end up with Sienna poisoning herself and going downhill from them. Oh dear, I can imagine it too, she thought.
“How come she was unfit?” Trainee Fang snapped startling Sir Flock.
Sir Flock folded his claws together. “She may be pure of heart,” he said slowly. He then looked away as he started crying. “It could also be that Dark Magic is dangerous to her.”
It made Commander Moon’s heart wrench at the thought. It would tear her apart if she wasn’t able to become mates with Stormwing based on what species and magic you were born with. She placed one paw on her chest as she gazed at the weeping Sir Flock.
“So why did you turn her into a fairy?” Commander Moon asked.
“To escape, I promised I would figure a way for us to marry,” Sir Flock explained. He then walked away from Trainee Fang who was starting to show some sympathy to his situation. “Have you seen her by chance?”
“A couple days ago, she seemed fine,” Commander Moon mewed. “She was in a rush, so I didn’t get to speak much.”
Sir Flock nodded his head at what she said. “I’ll seek for her then.” He opened a Shadow Portal and headed inside it. As he left, Trainee Fang snorted something about him being too gushy about his partner.
“All’s well that ends well, huh?” Trainee Winnie barked.
