Coloring In the Lines

Still catching up with the content on the main website... but I think we'll be moving a little quicker from here.
When I made this, I'd been playing with Krita, a free software painting program, for the first time, and some new brushes for GIMP, recoloring some famous paintings I found on Wikipedia, and I liked how it turned out. These are still the poor scribblings of a novice, and I'll probably be embarrassed soon enough to look back at these, but for now I feel like hanging these up on the fridge.
The first is "View at Hérisson, Allier," by Henri-Jospeh Harpignies - recolored in Krita.

The second is "Landscape with Horsemen and Cattle," by Johann Heinrich Roos - recolored with GIMP. Check out the original version -- http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Johann_Heinrich_Roos_-_Landscape_with_Horsemen_and_Cattle_-_Walters_37561.jpg
