September 24, 2017: Don't overthink it.

This week I wanted to write about my goals and expectations vs reality of this project. I think it's important for me to keep in mind why I started it and why it's worth perusing.
For me, this art journal isn't just a chance to create personal essays and drawings around a theme- it's the opportunity to document my creative practice and motivations.
Tell me what you think?

The quote you posted by John Cage is very true.
When I first started to seriously write, it was something I did because I enjoyed it so much. I just loved creating new worlds, characters and stories. However, I had reached a point where it began to feel like work, I guess. Not that I didn't love it all the same, goodness no! But, how do I explain this properly... Something felt different. I used to write for hours until all hours of the night (or morning), but now I don't feel like I can write for that long anymore. I still have ideas, and writing is everything to me, but... I dunno...
Sorry, I really wish I could explain myself much better. This just got me to think really deeply. So for that, good job! ^_^
