I’m Marcus Villaça, aka RocketPig®, storyteller/graphic novelist and quite sadly, one of the few remaining Famous International Playboys. Founding partner at JARDI+UTENSIL studio which redesigned the CHICAGO READER and the BOSTON PHOENIX. In my reckless youth, did brief but immensely satisfying art direction stints at ROGER BLACK INC, as well as at a bunch of magazines, including GEAR, PARENTING, THIS OLD HOUSE and NEW YORK magazine. Founder and original creative director of BCN WEEK in Barcelona. Mid-life has seen me take on research about the Cold War for my latest graphic novels ‘Banana Paprikash’ and ‘The Budapest Connection’. To this end, spend most of my time in well-stocked watering holes downing copious amounts of Unicum and doing much needed field research among the Central European chatterati.
