Since Alfred's shining career as a Baritone came to an unexpected sudden end, he spends his life sulking in the past. Wearing all his clothes for several years, meeting the same old people for decades and only loving music of many centuries ago, it seems impossible to start all over again. Fearing further changes more than anything, he believes he's quite content playing the violin in the Opera's orchestra now.
