Would I be correct in thinking Hideyuki actually cares a lot, but has complicated reasons for not admitting this in public or to himself. Does the bit lip and completely withdrawn eyelids mean that the news was not only surprising but important to him? Did Hideyuki really want to leave to process a complicated grief in private. Was that relationship a complicated and painful one?
