I am still not sure what kinds of feedback that you're looking for but, I'm going to give my two cents I guess.
While the visual was really great and had a lot of charm to them, and it also conveys the story really well, I just can't really sense any love between the 2 characters, it's more like losing a long lost friend.
Though I may be a bit biased since I pretty much dreamt a really similar thing multiple times a long time ago. Where everything is fine and my supposed friend still talks to me like the good old days, but, there is a foreboding feeling to it, and just woke up and it's just a grim reminder of what once was.
But, on the other hand, love came in many shapes and sizes not everything must be romantic love, there are also family love and platonic love. I'm not too clear on what you looking for so, it just feels a bit vague to me.
