Being a kid is weird and slow. You're praised for showing off the most boring skills and reprimanded for when adults have to have their way.
Being an adult is no good either. Adults always have their faces bunched in a scowl, if not forced into expression. When you're an adult, you have to pursue something you like successfully. You gotta talk nicely and look proper. You have to be an individual of incredible worth.
On no particular day, Eurodys decides to be neither. Eurodys is just Eurodys: anything that a Eurodys does, it is correct.
With this strange mindset, the young Eurodys lazes around each day avoiding all contact with others except for meals. This proves to be quite troublesome, especially since Eurodys is the sole heir to the Khans of Fais. Things only get more chaotic when Eurodys discovers their affinity for a unique power. The house of Fais have certainly gotten their hands full.
Meanwhile, another child by the name of Kantus is quickly learning the insecurities of life at the outskirts of Fais. Though Kantus's mother is a widely renowned doctor and spiritualist, Kantus receives little to no attention from neighbors who only visit their lonely house when they are in need of special medicinal herbs. Because of this, Kantus has already experienced a string of fights and cruelties from the other children.
Despite that, Kantus refuses to tell their mother in hopes of reducing her stress.
As of late, Kantus has been losing sleep to nightmares of a furious fire and a blurry figure. The anger that Kantus feels in those dreams feels so real that Kantus tries to seek spiritual help to placate whatever is churning inside.
But, it's all just a dream, right?
