Chapter 1: Passage West (1)

Hey everyone! This will be my first proper webcomic *so excited*. I've been working on it since February. I've even taken Mondays off from work to have time for it :).
Publishing format will be a bit like Steven bombs, if you ever watched Steven Universe. That is: I will be publishing a page every day until we reach the end of this chapter, and then there will be a longer break as I work on the next chapter. Then we will have a week or daily publishing again ^_^.
I will not tell you too much about the story yet to avoid spoilers.
I'm quite proud of the chapter cover - the play of light and shade, and little paisley spirit fish <3. The subject matter is one of main characters, Zerya, visiting Zehab, who runs a jewellery and insurance store. Zehab, as a local insurance agent, does a side (not official) job of holding money for people wanting to be smuggled West, and only gives the money to the smugglers if the journey is completed successfully.
The first page, which you can see here, is a bit different than the rest, as the line art is in pencil (later pages have pen line arts). At the start I was experimenting with techniques and this looked good. On later pages I quickly realised that often the pencil outline I have is too light or there are many things to re-do, so I went with pen line art later. Still, I think those fuzzy lines match Zerya and Revi going through the nighttime forest pretty well ^_^
