Thank you for reading the my project teaser about the 442nd Infantry Regiment. It's been an eye opening and inspiring project as it requires both research from a historical and visual context. Stay tuned as Episodes drop this coming September. To support this project, please check my Patreon for behind the scenes posts and extras. Please ask me any questions in the comments!
It seems almost wrong to click the "like" button. This is such a dark part of history that one should never "like", but I am glad that the story is being told and with such beautiful artwork that evokes the emotion behind it. I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of it and hearing the music you create to accompany the book.
Follow the Japanese American 442nd Regiment as they fight through Europe during WWII, while Japanese American families remained unduly incarcerated in US Internment camps. The 442nd is the most decorated unit in U.S. Military History earning over 18,000 awards over a 2 year period.
The story is illustrated with a traditional blend of watercolor and mixed media using graphite, pen and inks, watercolor and gouache.
