Prologue Chapter: Psi Serpentis

This first chapter covers the Halo-canon Battle of Psi Serpentis in 2543, the year this story begins. In fact, this whole chapter can be considered Canon-friendly as it is entirely Halo-centric regarding the rather legendary battle known as 'Admiral Cole's Last Stand.'

But as for the 'Naruto-side' of this crossover, this story is set approximately 20 years before what we would call the 'Road to Genin' Arc of the original Naruto Manga. So Naruto and gang, the Rookie 12, won't appear for quite a while, but a lot of familiar faces from both universes will appear in this story. There will be, however, a major divergence from the original canon timeline, as this story is both a crossover and AU (Alternate Universe) for both Halo and Naruto, so some events in both universes will be either different or just simply not happened, due to the divergence of events. Still, overall I think this will be a story both fanbases will enjoy, as I have no intention of turning this into a bashing/one-sided 'Halo/Naruto! Fuck yeah!' fest that a lot of fanfiction stories tend to do, whether by intention or accident due to author bias.

I want to tell a story. And a damn good one, too, with actual themes and plot points that people can enjoy and relate to. And while I may not be the best at telling a story, I am gonna do the absolute best I damn well can so that you, the audience, will enjoy it and come back to read more. And that's exactly what I intend to do.

Following Psi Serpentis, the fleeing UNSC Everest finds itself in a star system far from the war or the UEG. Teaming up with the Admiral's old flame from the URF and various other elements fleeing the war, the ex-UNSC forces discover a world, unlike anything they have ever seen before, while simultaneously the inhabitants of said world will have their lives changed forever.
