I did this for my IB art course because my context was 'portrayal in media' and as an Arab artist, I never see my culture, race or religion seen in a positive or heroic light. Besides, all the 13th century fantasies are set in Europe-- Many other places were facing enlightenment or a cultural boom, such as the Middle East & the Islamic Golden Age.
