Greer walked into the gym in her shorts and tank top and looked around. “It’s almost a waste that no one else gets to use this place…”
Blake shrugged. “Maybe but it means we can do what we are planning today which is-”
“Run our brains out?”
Blake shook his head. “No… We are going to relax.”
Blake took off his shirt and proceeded to hop into the pool and started floating. His hair started spreading out in the water as he closed his eyes. “If you can find your way to relax, then you can help keep your powers in check better. So… hop in.”
Greer looked at the water, then to Blake. “What about the lack of swimsuit?”
Blake looked a moment before tilting his head back. “Eh, you’ll be fine. Come in as is.”
Greer shrugged and jumped in, the waves shaking Blake under the water for a moment. Once he got settled again he looked to her. “Ok so now just, you know…. Relax. Float on the water.”
Greer looked to him and slowly started to do so. She had spent countless hours in the creeks and rivers near her home, catching fish and frogs, dunking her cousins. She rarely just floated to relax. She closed her eyes and tried to relax and keep floating. She tried to clear her mind of all thoughts and lay there, but she kept thinking about everything going on. She looked to Blake. “Are you sure? Just… float…?”
Blake made an affirmative noise, no real words. Greer tried for a few more minutes before just letting herself sink under the water for a moment. She was fine, but saw Blake and grinned, swimming under the water and pulling him under before jumping to the surface laughing. “BEWARE THE GREER SHARK!”
Blake came up, sputtering and looking at Greer who was grinning ear to ear. “You gonna swim or you gonna let the shark get ya?”
Blake grinned and pounced on her, dunking her back. As the chaos ensued, Luce looked in and decided he’d rather not deal with that right now and went back to the kitchen to prepare some things instead.

Blake’s second attempt to help Greer learn the art of relaxing was slightly more active than floating in water. He had set up the yoga mats in the dance studio before inviting her to join him. She came over and looked to Blake. “So what are we doing now? Yoga?”
“Yeah, it can help you get more in tune with your body. That can be really helpful with being able to tell when you’re about to activate your powers. Don’t worry, we’re not doing anything with meditation.” Cronos had left him a note saying that meditation probably wouldn’t be a good idea for Greer’s first few times. “Lots of transitioning between different poses.”
“Well ok, I mean I don’t mind Yoga. It’s great for flexibility at least.” She got into position, stretching a bit. Once they got started Greer was doing well enough, she mostly seemed disappointed with her level of flexibility than anything else. Once she was done she looked to Blake. “So… we done?”
“Well, do you feel like it helped you?”
She shrugged. “I mean maybe? Maybe I’m not an inner peace kinda person…I’ll keep trying it though.” She scratched the back of her head. “You mind if I go for a run?”
“Go ahead.”
She smiled and went over to the track and took off, apparently still full of energy. She stopped after about 45 minutes or so, coming back to see if he was back in the pool or had left. Greer looked pretty happy right now, and no sign of glow. “So I guess we’ll try more yoga tomorrow or something?”
The dark haired man calmly opened his eyes, not moving from the meditative position he had been in for the last 45 minutes. “Sure. Feel free to join us any time.” He gestured to Dewi who had arrived at some point. “It’s usually pretty sporadic, but we try to do yoga for at least a few hours on Saturdays.”
“What just like…. Sit there? Not thinking?” She wasn’t sure this sounded any more appealing than floating in the water did.
“Not if you don’t want to. We usually do what we were doing earlier with the different poses and then finish up with some time meditating, but you don’t have to join us for that part if you don’t feel like it.”
Dewi nodded his head. “You can always cool off by jogging like you did today. You really seemed to be enjoying yourself, isn’t that right, Babe?”
“Positively glowing.”
Greer tilted her head. “I thought the point was no glow? Because glow means luck?” She wasn’t quite sure if they were being literal or not.
“Oh, I just meant this is possibly the happiest I’ve seen you without cars being involved.”
Greer perked up a bit, good no luck thing happening. “Oh I’m just a very physical person. Running, climbing, fishing, camping… If I’m moving I tend to feel better. It’s why I could never be at a desk job. I’d be miserable. Gran Gran would say, ‘if you’re moving, you’re living’.” She grabbed her towel. “I’m going to get a shower. I’ll see you guys at dinner?” She started jogging off to the showers, ready to clean up. They both watched her worryingly.
“This will work, right?”
“I hope so, Dewdrop. She deserves to be happy, she just needs to learn how to take control of it.”
