I am a wide-receiver for my school's team. I am one of the best students academically. I have thick black hair that falls past my chin. My eyes are hazel and are slim. My eyelashes are also long. My lips are rosy just like my cheeks. They both contrast with my pale face. If you saw me, you'd be surprised I was even part of the football team.

I'm nothing like my teammates. I have only two friends, I live with my grandmother, I'm a super light-skinned Filipino kid and that I'm gay. They don't tend to ask me about myself but I'm happy with that. The team is full of cliches. They are kind to me though. Well, in exchange for me to help them with homework assignments. Not that bad of a bargain.

My true friends are Amber and Noah. Amber and I have shared blunts since the womb. She introduced me to Noah and we've been getting really close. He's on the basketball team. Amber is too lazy to do anything with her life so she watches our games and takes us out for a nighttime waffle. She's the prettiest thing you would've ever seen. Her hair was naturally red and her eyes were a pale blue. She has a rectangular build but she is super tall. She's unable to speak but that never stopped her.

Noah is a blonde beauty. He has freckles that are lighter than his brown skin. He has blue eyes like Amber but they're brighter than hers. His curly hair is in a boxy shape on his head. Noah was born a blonde baby. He's from a family of interracial couples so his DNA is very mixed. He gets teased for his unique features.

I was walking through the hallway with Amber and she looked at me and pointed to the guy a few feet from us.

'That's Elias, he's gay too. Go talk to him'

I shook my head.

"He's way out of my league."

She didn't look too convinced.

I looked at him again and suddenly he rushed in our direction. My body froze still and I felt baby soft hands grab my arm and I met eyes with him. He had brown eyes staring into my soul.

"Let's go."

He pulled me towards the restrooms. I turned back and glanced at Amber giving me a thumbs up and winking as I was being dragged away.
