"WAKE UP, WAKE UP!! RISE AND SHINE!! ANOTHER DAY!! ANOTHER BEGINNING!!"
I was woken up by my alarm tone. I start my days with these simple yet beautiful words. The words that gave me inspiration and hope. Another day to live and love.
I turned my face and saw him sleeping peacefully, my heart, my life, the reason I am alive. His adorable sleepy face first thing in the morning brightens my mood. His smile gives me peace. His smile is like his dad, beautiful but he looks like me, my little bunny.
My baby, he gave me a family, a family that I never thought I will have. I was orphaned at the age of 2 and always struggled to fit in, always alone, and abandoned. But this little sunshine gave me a family when he came to my life.
I left my bed reluctantly, wanting to keep looking at my beautiful angel but duty calls. I finished my daily routine silently so as not to wake him up, I was used to it now. I entered the kitchen where breakfast was already on the dining table. The smell of pancakes hit me making me hungry.
"Good Morning, Milo," I heard a cheerful voice greeting me.
Jace! My saviour, who was standing with the brightest smile, his tall height taking over the small kitchen. He must be decorating my son's tiffin box again. If my son grew up to be spoiled brat I am blaming him.
"Good morning, Jace," I said smiling.
"Where is my little champ? Don't tell me you haven't woken him up yet. I think you do it purposely. He hates waking up and I am always on the receiving end of his whining in the morning," Jace said, "Look at the time, it is already 7 your cab will be here in an hour. And please wake him up before you leave, he bit my hand last time I tried to wake him up. He is evil," Jace said pouting.
"Don't be grumpy, grandma. I will wake him up," I said and walked toward my room. I could still hear Jace grumbling for calling him "grandma".
"Hey, I am only 27 years old, who are you calling grandma!"
I entered my room chuckling.
"Angel, wake up, look the sun has woken up already. Uncle J had made your favourite pancakes. Your friends will be waiting for you in school to play, wake up," I said ruffling his hair.
"Five more minutes, dad," He whined half asleep.
"But if you don't wake up in five minutes I will send Uncle J to wake you up," I said.
He opens his eye while rubbing his hand over them, "No, I am awake. Not uncle J. He is a monster."
I picked him up and walked towards the bathroom, "Don't call him that he is elder than us."
"He is old," He said giggling.
After brushing his teeth and taking a bath, he is ready for school.
I walked downstairs, Jace is already packing his school bag and my office bag.
"I put all your books in your bag. Don't bother teachers or other students. I don't want to hear any more complaints about you," Jace said while putting his breakfast plate in front of him.
"Yes, Oldie!" He said making Jace frown.
"You oldie, where is my banana milk?" He said to Jace pouting.
"Hey, who are you calling oldie? Come here, you piece of..." Jace said before walking towards him.
But before Jace can catch him he runs away and Jace follows him around the whole house. Sometimes its live tom and jerry show in this house making me laugh. I am glad Jace is here to help me take care of him. I don't know what would have happened if he didn't come to rescue us.
I sighed, cleaning the already cleaned kitchen. I wish I could help more around the house, he takes care of Shinu and all the household chores while I am in the office. I wish I could pay him back in some way. Shinu soon comes running toward me bringing me out of my thoughts I quickly catch him and pick up. Jace also comes up behind him panting slightly.
"I swear to god if he again messes up with my food I will lock him in his bedroom and won't give him banana milk ever again," Jace said sitting across me, sticking his tongue out at Shinu.
"Jace, you are the one who spoiled him now you will have to fulfil all his wishes," I said while putting his plate in front of him.
"J J, you know I love you," my angel said in his baby voice giggling, and no one can stay mad at him when he giggles.
"Okay Okay, eat now, you devil child," Jace said pretending to be mad.
"Milo, you are getting late. Your cab is here," Jace said to me after we finish our breakfast. I treasure these lovely moments with my family. I hope we stay the same.
"Oh yes. Bye guys," I said kissing my baby's cheeks, "Both of you, behave." I said warning them for which both of them rolls their eyes and started bickering again.
I walked up to the company cab provided especially to me. I work in The Young's Corp. My boss Ethan Kree and Jace are best friends, sort of I guess. On Jace's recommendation, he offered me a job and company transport.
"Have a good day, sir," My driver said as I got out of the cab in front of the office.
"You too," I replied smiling.
I was very fortunate to work under such a powerful man. Mr Kree ran the company with hunter's leash but he was very kind to me. I am not sure how much Jace has told him about me but he always had a soft for me.
The young corporation was one of the largest companies in the eastern world. They were shipping magnate that owns 95% of shipping trade in the eastern world. And I work as a secretary to Mr Kree who was Vice President of the company currently handling the eastern world while Young family managing and expanding their business in the western world.
"Good morning, Mr Lang," I said to the security guard swiping my card on the entry gate.
"Good morning, Sir," He said handing my bag after scanning, "Have a nice day."
I entered the VPs office and started looking through his schedule for today making all the necessary arrangements before he arrives. Soon, I heard the door opening, and Mr Kree entered looking tired, it seemed like he didn't get any sleep at night. He is earlier than his usual time, which never happens.
"Sir, are you alright? You don't look so good," I said looking at him.
"Milo, I told you to call me Ethan when we are alone," He said massaging his temples.
"Should I bring you coffee? You look tired," I offered.
"Yes, please. Thank you very much," He said gratefully sitting on his chair, "And cancel all my appointments for today."
"May I ask why?" I asked.
He sighed defeatedly.
"Mr Young's younger son is arriving tomorrow after completing his studies overseas, we have to make appropriate preparation for him. He will be taking over as the CEO."
