Min got dressed and made himself some eggs and in the middle of eating, he realized he didn’t know when to head over to the practice place. He scooped his breakfast into his face, grabbed his phone, then ran out the door. Min ran to the nearest bus station and got on the next bus. His phone buzzed and when he checked it it was Kyungmin again. “Dude, WHERE ARE YOU! You were supposed to be here already! 😓😫” “I’m so sorry Kyungmin! You didn’t tell me when to get there.” “OH! My bad lol. You should get Nari to text you the times” Min simply texted back “okay” he was in too much of a hurry to ask him for Ms.Choi’s phone number nevertheless tried to explain to Kyung that he didn’t have her number to begin with.
Min basically jumped out of the bus when it came to a stop and ran all the way to the studio. He shoved the doors open and wiped the sweat off his brow. “I am so sorry I’m late guys! I’m here now,” he said once he got in their room. Kyung looked up from what he was working on and smiled at him “It’s fine dude, just get over here! We’re thinking of names.” Six other people were in the room with Min-Jun and Kyungmin, Ms.Choi, and five other guys ranging from 15 to 17 years old. One with obnoxious purple hair walked up to Min-Jun and introduced himself, “Hello! I’m Bai Joon, visual! You can call me Joon since we’re going to be teammates now!” Joon offered his hand and Min awkwardly took it “H-hi, I’m Park Min-Jun, you can call my Min. I’m going to be the main vocalist.” “Awesome! I can’t wait to work with you!” “Um, same to you”.
Min-Jun and Joon joined the rest of the group where Ms.Choi and a red-haired guy were arguing, “Why would we make the theme space? We can’t write songs about space!” Ms.Choi scolded him “Well why would we make it acceptance? That's so played out!” the red-haired guy replied.
“Hey, guys!!” Hyung interrupted them “The star is here!!” Ms.Choi turned to Kyungmin, Joon, and Min-Jun. “OH! Hello Min-Jun! Sorry, the idiot didn’t tell you when to come over.” “It’s fine, um who is who?” Min asked looking at the small crowd. “Oh yeah. These are the other members of our yet-to-be-named group. This jerk,” she pointed to the red-haired guy “is Choi Tae-Ho aka my little brother.” Tae-Ho raised his hand “Hey, please call me Tae-Ho, I’m already suffering to share a name with her. I don’t need a reminder.” Ms.Choi waved his comment away “He is a dancer or whatever, next up is this blondie” she pointed to a short blonde guy “Hey, I’m Lee Jae-Min, call me Jae. I’m going to be our rapper” Min smiled and nodded politely to him. Next to Jae another guy around Jae’s height and dark hair raised his hand slightly. “Um hi, I’m Ji Haneul. I’m going to be the lead dancer, OH and you can call me Haneul. Since we’re teammates and stuff.” Min and Haneul exchanged shy smiles then with a little shove of encouragement from Kyung Min-Jun introduced himself too.
“Okay,” Ms.Choi clapped her hands together to bring the attention back to her “so now that everyone knows each other let's focus on the problem at hand: we don't have a name or brand yet. As idols, we need to have something that shows our personality as a group and brand. We need smart Ideas.” Her last note seemed extremely pointed at Tae-Ho. “SO! Any suggestions?” Joon raised his hand and Ms.Choi nodded to let Joon speak. “Okay, so what if we make the band name in a different language? We would sound so fancy!” Kyung nodded in agreement “That would be so cool but...I only know Korean. Does anyone else know a different language?” They all looked around at one another to see if anybody did for a few seconds until Haneul raised his hand, “Um, I know a little bit of Latin. If we come up with something with less than four syllables I think I can translate it.” Everyone cheered happily until Ms.Choi got everyone’s attention again. “Hey! That's great or whatever but what are we going to be called?” The room went silent. Joon opened his mouth then shut it again and Kyung scratched his head while he thought.
Hours had passed and half the group was sitting on the ground, Joon was dramatically laid across a chair, Kyungmin was braiding his own hair, and Ms.Choi was pacing back and forth. Finally, Jae sat up from where he was laying on the ground and half-shouted “Can you translate the word “Love” or “Lovers”?” Haneul looked thought for a second then turned to him “Um I think so.” Ms.Choi sighed and covered her eyes with her hands. “And what does ‘Love’ have to do with our brand?” “Well because we love what we are doing” Min-Jun answered immediately. Everyone looked over at him and he cowered slightly, “Right? I mean we’re all here because we love music and dancing and that sort of stuff. And when we get fans we are going to love them right?” Kyungmin jumps up and grins brightly “Yeah! That makes perfect sense!!” Jae nodded and the group was all nodding and agreeing.
When the day had ended Haneul managed to translate “Lovers” into their new band name Amator/아마터.
