It's trying to run away from the monster that stands next to the magic barriers from earlier.

This scares Inqyan, who takes the dagger and aims it toward the monster.

The monster is just there, with its gaze fixed to Inqyan, as if knowing it's a waste of time trying to break the barrier.

Inqyan reads the situation and is able to stay calm.

Having sat down, he now observes the monster, it has four legs, fur that looks like the grass in the ground where he slept, all of its teeth are fangs and it is around 4 feet tall.

"Good boy, stay there while I figure out how to get rid of you."

Said Inqyan out of arrogance from being protected by the barrier.

"Roaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar!!"

It seems that humans are not the only ones that can use magic, because this roar the monster let out paralyzed both Inqyan and the horse for a whole minute.

'Good thing I haven't eaten anything, it would be embarrassing to have an accident even if I'm alone.'

"I don't know if you understand me, but just so you know, you're going to die."

This time Inqyan is not been arrogant, but confident.

The time he had stayed at school was to practice attack magic, so he now is good with at least three spells.

But what matters is whether they work on this specific monster or not.

Inqyan first picks up a stone from the ground and tries using (a pretty basic spell that consists in giving an overwhelming amount of maná to an object, causing an explosion) to avoid coming out of the barrier.

When the stone is ready, he throws it into the monster's mouth.

The monster swallows the stone and once again uses the same roar to paralyse Inqyan and the horse.

The monster's efforts where meaningless, before it could realize, the stone was already exploiting inside its throat.

Now that he took care of the monster, Inqyan prepares to continue riding.

After two hours he runs into a village.

There's a royal guard at the entrance.

"Stop right there! Identify yourself!"

Inqyan knows he's the one they're looking for, but it seems that his face really was erased from all records.

"My name is Inqyan."

"I don't care about your name, what I need is your last name."

'They're definitely looking for a Renvaq, I can't use it.'

"Sorry, I'm Inqyan Orus."

"Alright, you can come in now."

'I was just passing by though.'

Inqyan has no money, so he goes directly to the hunter's guild building.

...

There's a group of people outside the building.

"Good afternoon, can I attach my horse here."

No one but a girl wearing worn out clothes heard him.

"If you do that anyone could easily steal it, want me to look after it for you?"

'You could be the one to steal it.'

Even with that possibility, Inqyan knows it's better to know the face of the thief.

"Well then, I'll leave it to you."

Inqyan enters the hunter's guild building and goes to the counter, where he sees a tall man with a patch.

"Excuse me, can I earn money by hunting monsters?"

"You're just a kid, are you sure you want to be a hunter?"

"I'm sure so, can I earn money?"

"You can, are you good at hunting?"

'I was from a noble family until yesterday so I don't know how to do anything else.'

"I'm an amazing hunter."

The man doesn't believe him.

"Well, if you die you can't blame me so, give me your hand and say your name out loud."

"Inqyan Orus."

With a confused look on his face, the man proceeds to create an orb.

"Here, swallow it and you'll be registered as a hunter in any of the kingdoms."

Inqyan doesn't know if he should trust him, but he can't do anything apart from hunting, although he's only hunted one monster so far.

...

After a moment of hesitation, he decides to do it.

"Ugh! It's disgusting, will I have to swallow more of these?"

"Yeah, and orbs usually taste horrible so you better get used to it."

"Well then, see you later."

"See you."

Inqyan leaves the hunter's guild building and realizes that the girl from earlier is no longer there, neither her nor the horse.

He lets out a huge sigh filled with frustration.

He was about to start crying but one of the people out there gave him a note.

"Take this."

"What's this?"

"The girl with a horse left it for you."

"Oh, thank you."

'I hope this has good news.'

What was written in the note was an address.

'It could be a trap but I have to go no matter what, I wish I would had taken my things with me.'

He now has no choice but to go to this possible trap, hoping he is wrong about the girl.

...

He arrived to the house of the address.

The horse is there, but the saddle it had is not.

The girl comes out and greets Inqyan with a gentle smile.

"Hi, I told you I would look after it and I did."

'You can't fool me, you took my things and now you give me that fake smile, just ask for it already.'

"Yes you did well, thank you."

"Well, now let's talk about payment, you're a hunter, right? I know you hunters make a lot of money."

'I knew you would ask for it, but you did take care of it so you deserve it.'

"Yes I'm a hun..."

He stops and lets out a sigh.

'I'm an idiot, I didn't get an answer from the man in the counter.'
