We entered a room with a big table and a bunch of chairs positioned around it.
Dave passed by us and sat at one of the chairs, with Mr. Honasson going for a seat beside him, and logically I sat across from them.
Dave then let out an annoyed sigh and looked at Mr. Honasson.
“So, you are telling me he was just dropped off at your porch in the middle of the forest?
And he was completely naked? Does he have any visible stitches on him?”
After that Mr. Honasson answered.
“No, that was the least of my worries at the time, but he didn’t have any cuts on his body, only a bloodied nose”
Hearing that - Dave seemed even more annoyed.
“Well, here goes the most logical reason for our guest here, alright let's hear you out, do you remember anything before you got here?”
Waiting for this moment I started telling them my story, and with each detail, their eyes widened more and more, when I finally finished talking - there was only silence.
But then Dave’s brain finally processed my story.
“Ok, this is certainly not something of my jurisdiction, if there is some group that just abducts people across America we should contact state police.
Jack, we don’t have any place to keep him, so the best thing we can do is for you to take him in for a time being and assign an officer to your home, probably me.
And you, I need your name to write down in my report”
“I-It’s Jonas, Jonas Foltum”
Dave quickly wrote it down on a napkin he had in his pocket.
“Good, Now… Just go home, I'm gonna come around when I'll hear from the state police”
As we started to stand up, Dave stopped Mr. Honasson.
“I need a moment to talk with you, Jonas - you can wait with the receptionist”
I didn’t question it and walked out of the room.
When I reached reception I just quietly sat down on one of the benches and waited.
I’ve been sitting there for 20 or so minutes before Mr. Honasson finally appeared.
We then quietly walked back to the house, yet again being greeted by my blood on the road.
“Alright, My shift at the bar starts in 15 minutes, so you'll have to be alone for the evening.
Don’t open the door to anyone other than me or dave”
With those words, Mr. Honasson opened the house door, handed me the keys, and turned back to the forest.
It was getting pretty dark at this point and it seemed like he dissolved into the forest.
And with my newly gained fear of darkness, I quickly entered the house and locked the door.
Finally, I had some time to think about what had transpired with me so far.
I suspected my mad ramblings didn’t quite convince the officer, they probably think I was drugged, but as they mentioned before it makes no sense for someone to kidnap me and just drop me off in the middle of nowhere.
The situation I was in wasn’t even physically possible, my aunt lived In Florida, but I got dropped off here 2 hours later!
With my brain seemingly melting I decided to take my thoughts off the matter.
I wandered the house for a minute before I found the living room.
Seeing a couch I ran in and landed on it, then I took the remote for a tv that was standing in the corner of the room beside the fireplace.
Seeing how I didn’t have my phone with me I decided that it was the best solution for my boredom.
With a push of a button tv lit up.
On it was a menu selection with some soap operas, noticing that the tv was in DVD player mode I turned it back to normal.
I was instantly taken to a fishing channel, my father went fishing with me many times, but I never understood the point of doing it just for enjoyment.
Changing channels a few times I happened to come across the news channel.
At that moment the only emotion you could read on my face was fear.
The reporter was talking about mass disappearances of people across America, and to the side of the screen there was a counter, and the numbers were rapidly going up.
And then, the tv went dark.
To say I was freaked out at that moment would be pretty accurate.
I climbed over the couch and hid behind it like I was expecting something to come out of the tv.
What I got scared more of was that I was accurate in my judgment - I peaked around the couch, all the lights in the room at that moment have gone dark, and out of the tv crawled out what looked like a bunch of black goo, but as it plopped out on the floor it quickly gained more humanoid stature, but that was all that was humanoid about it.
Its face was a bare human skull with some inscriptions on it.
It also had empty eye sockets out of which the same goo poured every moment, apart from its face it was fully covered in this dark substance.
I tried to back up slowly to the stairs, but as I was doing that I stepped on one of the creaky boards.
What followed was a howl from the creature, it then turned in my direction and flailed its arm.
If you thought that it wouldn't reach me across the room you would be completely wrong.
The arm stretched - wrecking anything in its path.
I was lucky to avoid it, my very being was screaming for me to run from the creature.
I ran to the stairs, and as I did more lights have gone out - I could feel it behind me, and it wasn’t the only thing about it I could sense, its screech was like someone was flailing a bunch of knives at the chalkboard.
As I turned the corner I could see it running up the stairs and right into the wall - breaking it in the process.
Then there was silence, I knew I shouldn’t have, but I still walked to the hole in the wall that the monster have left behind.
When I looked inside - I could see the forest out in the distance, and as I looked down from the side of the house I saw the monster, or at least all that was left of it - the substance the creature was made out of, and a bunch of bones lying among it.
But as you probably guessed it wasn’t dead - a singular tentacle sprouted from the goo, and then lunged in my direction - knocking me out of the building.
I landed right in the middle of the sludge, and as I looked up - the creature was slowly reforming.
I desperately backed away, only to hit the wall behind me.
It screeched at me so loudly that I thought my eardrums would pop, and while doing so it raised its arms up into the air - both of them stretching higher than the house.
In desperate instinct, I held out my arm - as if it would stop what would be coming down on me while having my eyes closed and screaming.
The next moment, I could only hear the roof tiles, wood, and bricks breaking apart above me, but then it suddenly stopped.
When I opened my eyes I saw the creature - it was being pierced by countless black spikes that were all around me.
It wailed, and with every movement it did - the spikes drove deeper and deeper into it.
And then - a new spike appeared from the ground and pierced its skull.
With the skull destroyed - all the goo fell to the ground and seemingly seeped into it.
The only thing left behind was a bunch of bones.
My mind at this point was overloaded with information, and I was gasping for air after screaming so loudly.
But weirdness didn’t stop with the monster’s defeat - it only went further when I started hearing whispers around me.
