At a noticeable location within the Ballroom, a table occupied by four individuals commanded attention. Abruptly, a piercing outcry erupted from that particular table, causing those who were in the vicinity to become startled and avoid it...
Lynx was taken aback by the shocking news. He exclaimed, "What? Did you just say that this young boy in front of me...treated Tetanus? That's absurd!" He looked at Han with wide eyes, muttering, "How is that even possible?".
Han awkwardly chuckled at the sight, thinking that the person in question seemed to be taking the news hard. Kace, gawking at the ladies on the dance floor, asked if the news was really that big.
“Shut up, muscle head! This is significant news! The Organization had focused solely on researching treatments for internal injuries for so long that they failed to consider the possibility of infectious diseases. Unfortunately, this oversight may have contributed to conflicts," Lynx said, furrowing his eyebrows.
Rasial chuckled and apologized for his friend's overly passionate attitude toward researching potions. Although he was also surprised by the news when he heard about it, he was able to accept it when he found out who was the one responsible for the treatment.
Lynx let out a sigh, trying to calm himself down. He then asked Han, "Would it be possible for you to show me the medicine one day? I couldn't help many patients in my organization and I feel like I should learn more about it."
"Of course, you're welcome to visit my Clinic anytime. I'd be happy to show it to you," replied Han with a smile. He was glad to have someone who shared his passion for medicine.
As Lynx looked at Han, he couldn't help but be amazed at how young he was. "It's surprising that you opened a clinic at your age. By the way, where is your Clinic located? I don't think I've seen it around Onaphia."
"It's located in the Death Forest near Siron City," Han replied while fidgeting with his hands.
“Oh, that reminds me this genius also build his new workshop there. Then I’ll be sure to visit the next time I go there”, said Lynx pointing towards Rasial.
“No problem I’ll be waiting”, Han replied. He was glad that someone was interested in his Clinic. Having acquaintances from Onaphia won’t be bad at all.
Kace turned to the table and asked, "Have you guys heard about the attack on the Palace the other day?"
Han was surprised by the news and asked, "When did that happen?"
Rasial chuckled at Han's sudden interest and commented, "You seem quite interested."
Han replied awkwardly, "I don't get to hear about these things since I'm always working at the clinic."
Kace and Lynx nodded in agreement, not surprised by Han's workaholic behavior.
"I heard that one of the Eastern Soldiers attacked the Princess's Quarters with a powerful energy force, causing it to split in half. Thankfully, her Earth Ranked Archer bodyguard protected her," Kace shared while taking a bite of an apple.
As Han watched the scene unfold, he couldn't help but notice that Sir. Rasial's friends didn't act as noble as one would expect. They lacked an arrogant attitude and instead acted like commoners.
Curious about the ongoing war, Han asked, "Does this mean that the war is far from over?" While he wasn't entirely surprised by the news, he found it concerning since he wanted to venture out of the Clinic and explore the City, but everyone was confined within their homes.
Kace pondered for a moment before gesturing to Rasial to respond. "What's your estimation on when the war will end?" he asked.
Rasial crossed his arms and leaned back before answering, "It's difficult to say for sure, but my best guess is that it will take at least 8-9 months. It could take more or less time, though."
Kace let out a frustrated sigh, "That's a long time. It's already been three years. Why isn't it over yet?" he asked, taking a bite of his apple.
Lynx and Han nodded in agreement with Kace's statement.
"I can't do anything about it. It's up to the king to make the pact when he deems it right," defended Rasial, while silently hoping for a positive outcome.
Lynx, who had just opened a book to read, commented, "What's so great about the king? You two always praise him, but he just seems like an opportunist." This statement made Rasial and Kace glare at Lynx angrily. However, Lynx simply shrugged off their piercing glares and responded with a dismissive 'humph'.
As Han observed the unfolding scene, he realized that the people present held the king in high regard. Therefore, he made a mental note to refrain from making any comments that may offend them.
“…Why do you make such comments? When you know if they catch you. You could get beheaded even if you’re the Viscount’s Son. Being with the soldiers on the battlefield I made sure to not blurt out such things if I wanted to live”, replied Kace groaning at his friend’s dumb actions.
"Exercise caution in the Palace, researcher. Be mindful not to be excessively blunt," Rasial replied assertively, his smile masking his innermost thoughts.
Upon being reprimanded by his Genius friend, Lynx promptly acquiesced. Han found it amusing that the three were even friends, considering their vastly disparate personalities.
As the four friends engaged in lively conversation, they were completely unaware of the explosion of applause that filled the room. It was only when the guard's authoritative voice boomed over the commotion, announcing the arrival of the Royal Highness King and Queen, that all attention was diverted to the regal couple adorned in resplendent gold jewelry and crowns. An electric buzz of excitement rippled through the air, as every eye was trained upon the majestic duo.
The fervor only intensified when Prince Claus and Princess Harriet were announced, eliciting gasps of awe from the crowd. The princess looked resplendent in her ethereal light purple gown, while Prince Claus stood out in his striking red and white ensemble. As the entourage settled into their seats, the once raucous room fell into a hushed silence, bristling with anticipation for the momentous event that was about to unfold.
Han found himself at a loss for words as he bore witness to a surreal scene unfolding before him. Never in his wildest dreams had he envisioned himself occupying the same space as bona fide royalty. While the topic held no prior interest for him, he now found himself captivated by the dignified manner in which they conducted themselves. His eyes were alight with wonder as he gazed upon them, taking in every detail with admiration.
Suddenly, the regal figure of the king rose from his throne, prompting a hush to fall over the hall as all present eagerly awaited his next proclamation.
Yayy! Han is getting along with these Alchemists. Seems like all of Rasial's friends act like him. The status screen will be shown in the next chapter.
How will Han complete the milestones? What will the next phase be? How will the Royal Family react to meeting Han?
