A highly contagious virus had been rapidly spreading throughout the impoverished slums, posing a grave threat to the health and well-being of its inhabitants. Despite the tireless efforts of skilled herbalists, alchemists, and physicians, no effective solution had been found to combat this deadly virus. The situation was dire, as those who entered the slums were never heard from again, leaving their fate unknown and causing great concern among the rest of the community.
It has come to the attention of the Citizens that there may have been orders given by the King for his soldiers to take action against individuals found outside of the Slums. It has been reported that those who have entered the Slums may be required to remain there until they can overcome the Virus. Furthermore, it appears that the Slums have been secured by the soldiers.
Alchemists and Physicians had paired up to find out What the Virus was. Their findings were then informed to the Royal Alchemist and the King. They found that the Virus was some sort of poison that had spread amongst the population. It was a liquidized poison the kind that they had never seen. The citizens had started developing painful blisters all around their bodies which consisted of purple liquid. The Alchemists were even afraid to touch them… The symptoms included coughing blood, headaches, chills, weakness, and blisters. They also recorded that it took a Week for the person to die once they caught the virus.
The Alchemists and Physicians have urgently requested assistance in tackling a virus outbreak that has taken hold in the slums. The situation is dire if left unchecked, it could spread to the more populous cities and result in a full-blown pandemic. What's even more alarming is that all the previous Alchemists and Physicians deployed to the area have perished, leaving only two brave individuals to combat this deadly scourge.
In light of the potential risk of a pandemic outbreak with the potential to spread uncontrollably within the Slums, the King has decided to dispatch a significant number of highly skilled Alchemists and Physicians to the area. This action is being taken as a precautionary measure to safeguard the health and well-being of all residents.
It is a fact that one-eighth of the Western Continent is comprised of slums. This suggests that the Continent may not be as wealthy as it appears. Before the pandemic, the slums were isolated from everyone, and no one ever ventured inside to help the impoverished people. The Continent left them to fend for themselves without any financial assistance. However, now the King has expressed interest in aiding the slums after hearing the news. The King needs to contain the situation within the slums and prevent it from spreading to other areas.
In the Ballroom, a table in a corner sat four people. Silence filled the air after they heard the request from the King. Rasial held his nose bridge, deep in thought about how to solve this problem.
Kace couldn't believe it and asked, "Are you sure the Royal Alchemist won't be joining you?"
Lynx, frustrated, replied, "Do you think that opportunist will allow him to go? He'll make sure the Royal Alchemist stays by his side just in case." Rasial shot Lynx a piercing glare and Lynx instinctively covered his mouth. He continued, "If only there was someone skilled enough to go with you, then you wouldn't be as stressed."
As Lynx shared his thoughts, Kace's face lit up at the sight of Han. "Why not take Han with you? He treated Tetanus and owns a clinic. He could be useful," he suggested.
Rasial immediately objected, "Absolutely not! Why would I take a 15-year-old to that dangerous place? It's unforgivable to even consider it!" He was determined not to let Han suffer the same fate as him.
Lynx agreed with Rasial, "Sending a child to the slums is not an option, even if he treated Tetanus. We need to find another way."
Kace sighed and slouched back on the couch, disappointed that Han's age was a hindrance. He shrugged and began to consider other potential candidates.
The loud argument at the table caught the attention of someone standing close by who overheard their conversation. The person couldn't help but grin as they listened in.
The Manager of the Alchemist Organization in Onaphia, who hailed from a noble house aligned with the King and dutifully carried out their commands, conveyed the news to Rasial.
Prince Claus was given a significant responsibility by his father, King, to make sure that the Manager does not make any unwise remarks to Rasial, the Alchemist. The Prince executed his father's orders diligently and observed the Manager closely from a distance as he conversed with Rasial. To his surprise, he found Rasial's abilities to be quite remarkable. The rumors about Rasial's skill in identifying talent appeared to be truthful after all.
The Prince was delighted to discover a young and exceptional physician who, despite his youth, had successfully treated tetanus and owned his clinic. It occurred to the Prince that the royal family might not be aware of this talented individual, and he felt it his duty to inform his father. The Prince believed that his father would also appreciate the remarkable skills of this gifted physician.
Back on the table, Han was startled as a blue screen unfolded in front of him.
