Everything is dark.. It's cold, i never knew that death would be this cold.. I can't move a thing.. and i can't see anything.. just dark and silence..

The last thing I remembered was me and my friends are going to a theme park. We're going to celebrate our graduation.. I remembered my classmates and I walking together to a ferris wheel, Calvin and Oliver we sat together in the small room of ferris wheel. The sky was pretty, I saw the orangy-pinkish atmosphere stretched on top of us. We took the night bundles because we thought theme park looks pretty at night, right?

I looked at my phone and it's the exact 6 o'clock. 

"It's charming.." said Calvin. 

"you're right." I said

"it feels like we just got into highschool and now we're graduating"

I remembered when I accidentally bump into Calvin and his friends, it's my first time talking to someone in highschool

"Yeah.. and you changed a lot" 

"Do i?" Asked me

"You do" said Oliver with chuckles

"You used to be the kid that was very clumsy" He is laughing now

"But.." Calvin wrapped his arm around my neck tightly.

"Look at you now, accepted into one of the greatest university of our country." I can't breathe 

While we laughing a loud sound was heard. The three of us stopped and starting to look at each other

"You hear that?" Ask Oliver while me and Calvin nodded our head.

In a moment the ferris wheel are vibrating, and our chair is shaking like crazy that i almost fell.

I look at the window, a see something. or someone..? walking down the beach. Then he stopped and placed his hands on the sand and in a second earthquake happened. The ground cracked and a sprout coming out of it. Then the sprout burst into a big tree, hitting the rail of rollercoaster. Then another sprout bursted out near the haunted house, followed by another sprout. They all bursting down into a big tree, causing the building to be destroyed. 

Calvin opened the door of the ride and said something, but i can't hear him clearly. Everything is too loud

"We have to get down!" Said Calvin

Then oliver jumped out of the ride, followed by Calvin who grabbed my hands, we fell onto a snack booth next to the ferris wheel. We're lucky we're almost at the ground, but it still hurts. 

Calvin groaned "My legs.. It hurts", i touched it to check, and he shriek. His legs is swollen and red.

"it's broken.."  Calvin's face turns pale, the ferris wheel was started to tilt.

"Get up!" some of the ferris wheel part started to collapse and made a big sound. "Oliver! Help me."

I look back and the falling ferris wheel is right above our head until Oliver grabbed me and Calvin and pushed us out 

"Oliver!" A loud sound was heard,

"Fuck, Oliver!" Shout Calvin

*coughing "i'm here"

"I thought u didn't make it" I haven't finished my sentence until something behind me bursted out and knock me to the ground "Ian!" 

"i didn't see the sprout" i groaned "We don't have time." Oliver helped me to stand."

Everything is a chaos, the voice of the terrified people, the collapsed building, we're trying to head out in this messy place. It's hard to see a way when the place is covered in dust and smoke, some way are even blocked by the building materials. i looked back and i saw the person i saw at the beach is walking among the crowds, he raises his hand a huge tree appeared from the bursting sprout. Me, Oliver, and Calvin are hiding behind a banner that get stuck in the tree. The more he walked, the more of sprouts that are bursting into a tree, it's not gonna be long until the entire area is covered with trees. "N-no who are you!" a girl scream in horror "Wh-what do you want!?" The man raises his hand "NO!" The girl is crying, she tries to run but it appears that her legs are broken. He grab the girl's face and whisper something,  a sprout appeared in her forehead, which later explode into a tree. 

"What the hell..." Said Oliver

"H-help me!" Said a guy beside us, he holds my shoes. "We- can't help him, he is going to die because of blood loss." I look at him, he already lost his lower body part. He dragged himself to here, leaving a trail like a snail. "N-NO.. H-HELP ME PLEASE!" said the guy "We can't." Shit we're gonna get cau-

A tree bursted up from below, we're done.

Calvin fainted after hitting a branch, "Oliver, we have to run!" 

Oliver took Calvin on his back and we tried to run. I looked back and see the man put his hand on the ground, a sprout appeared everywhere, destroying everything. I read the direction sign in front of us, we just need to go further to reach the exit gate. A sprout spawned underneath me, i leaped to the side avoiding the exploding tree. "Ian!"

"I'm fine! Keep moving!" The exit gate is visible now, but the gate's roof fell and blocking the way, i ran first, lifting the bricks alone. Being in rush, i became careless. I didn't even see the sprouts spawned on top of the bricks that i lifted. The sprouts bursted up into a big tree, i don't remember anything after that. As my vision goes blury, i could heard Oliver screaming but i can't hear him properly

That's the only memories that i got, and i thought i was dead until now. 

My body is melting, it's not my body, actually it's something on top of my skin that melts. A small hole was made, leaving my left eye to be able to see trough the small hole. A light slipped trough the hold and hits my eyes, i flinched, not being able to see something for so long and directly hit by sunlight makes me dizzy. Now that i know that i've been coated in ice, the melting eyes, leaves my skin wet. 

a creacking sound was heard, it's a footsteps, one.. two.., wait no.. it could be more, and it's not only a footsteps, i heard another sound, a sound that's familiar with me. I remembered that sound, that sounds just like Oliver's pet, the hissing sound that sounds evil, their cascading body that can squize it's prey. But this one is different, the creature make a bigger sound, a louder hissing, followed with the sound of tree falling. As the ice started to melt more, i could see clearly with both of my eyes.

"Ali!" shout some girl 

"I got it!" The guy understood 

"Celer" The girl jumped, really high while tilting her body. The giant snake was surprised enough to follow her move

"Silens" The girl Took her rifle and aimed at the giant snake. Gracefully deadly and ready, The rifle tuned perfectly in her arm. She let out a small sigh, tracked the fatal spot with her optics. 

wow.. 

"Hehe good jo-AH!" the girl saw me

"Ali! A human!" shout the girl

"oh.. um.. i" I didn't notice that the ice melted already, leaving me soaked.

"God, i guess you just defrosted." Said the girl named Narcissa

"Obviously." answered the guy called Ali sarcastically

I'm sure that they are a human. But something caught my eyes. the girl got a rabbit ears, makes me a bit curious.

"Defrosted? Wait am i still on earth..?" i asked them both

"Yes, but as you can see... things are slightly different here."

"yeah.." The trees in here are extremely large, i meant it as really big, and that snake earlier that was the wildest snake that u can imagine, in a term of size. Yet they fought them easily

"We're a human too, frozen inside the ice cocoons for years"

"What about your ears?" i asked her with a full of curiosity

"Oh, I got it since i defrosted." The girl smiled

"Hehe, people who survives the catasthrope, blessed with more capabillity than ordinary human." Explain the girl while slinging her rifle "I got this ears a few moments after i defrosted, it was weird at first, but i guess i just need to get used to it" the girl chuckle a bit and touches her ears. 

"Even though it is still the same earth that we used to live in, there are some pretty major modification going around the world." 

"The plants went lush and big, animals and humans are evolving, everything is now infused with some mysterious energy called mana which allow us to use it as we please." Explain Ali. 

"I kinda get it.. but how did we ended up frozen in those ices?" They looked at each other 

"Oh... i t-" 

"Nobody really knows." Cut Ali, before she could speak "But we all got an unpleasant memory with it." 

".That's the only thing we know" 

Ali's face turned serious, he is uncovering his long robe and took his hat off. His whole face is visible now, The hair is a bit long, With a skin darker than mine, his eyes are dark and sharp alongside the tilted eyebrows make him looks more serious. 

"Well let's just brush it off and get to know, shall we?" Said the girl with an awkward smile

"It's a good idea." He nodded

"I'm Narcissa, i woke up two years ago, and i'm specialized with hunting. you know, bang! bang!" Said the girl while mimicking the gun with her fingers "Oh, probably because of my ears, i also hear things better. besides that i'm pretty agile." Said the girl in a cheerful tone.

"My name's Ali, i think i woke up around nine months ago, Narcissa came to me after i defrosted, i've been with her since then." 

"I'm a sword wielder" He is showing the big sword he wield. 

"...and i can do this, Sic Infit" The sword is infused with fire, shaped sharp and hot, He looks strong, I mean he must be strong, the sword is really big, holding it with the correct posture needs a lot of training. The long robe covered the hard-forged body, no wonder he can hold the big sword, i wonder what kind of hell he goes trough to be able to use the sword. 

"I'm Ian." said me 

"So how did you know what kind of power u inherit?" i ask them, it still feels like a dream, i can't think any of this as something true. Casually asking people what kind of supranatural powers they have sounds ridiculous. 

"hmmmmm" Narcissa think for a few sec

"It's kinda hard to explain but you'll just know." making me more confused and my curiosity grow larger.

Full of doubt, i pinched my left hand. "Ouch" 

"Ian"  She approached me "We know, that any of this might sound ridicilous and you must have a lot of questions. but you need to understand that any of this is real, it's not a dream, magic is real!" It is that serious, earth has changed and we have to survive in this new environment. The wilderness has turn into something dangerous and that's the only thing i know for sure, things could get worse. 

"We formed a group and teamed up so we can survive in this new world, doing dangerous works so we can live." Ali didn't say anything but i could tell from his face that he's agree with Narcissa.

"Ian, do you wanna survive?"  Ask Narcissa

"...I do" answered me shortly

"Good choice! We're heading to our place, you should come with us."

Ali handed me a few clothes.

"Take off you wet clothes, you can't going around naked."
