Wrong. Many months is the correct answer.

Still, when the time came, spirits were high, and once again Heliodor stepped in and was awesome. This time she celebrated a character who doesn't get enough attention because it is IMPOSSIBLE to give Pekoms the red-footed tortoise the full measure of attention that he is due. She made us a motivational sign to keep us all from going crazy as the big day approached.  She ALSO put a copy of just Peke with no wording on his sign in the artwork channel on my Discord for people who want Peke to say things for them. No matter what, it's always better coming from Peke. 

Then, in high spirits myself, and since it was Pride month, we determined that Andie and the other Sperm Vegans of the world also deserved representation and visibility. So I designed a Sperm Vegan Activism flag for them.

My actual launch "event" was really just two days of living the high life up on the banner... I was nervous about recouping all my original Free Radical subscribers since the new version of the book was starting from zero. But they came back! And so did new readers! And I wanted to do something fun to commemorate the event, so I designed a special "limited edition" Sub Card for thanking them.

Did you know that if you log in via the browser and not the app, you have an inbox? When I first discovered that this was the case AND discovered that many authors send "thank you notes" to subscribers (sub cards), I was horrified that I had been so remiss. I've always been a thank you card writer. So, I rolled up my sleeves and got to work. Over time, my sub card design game got stronger. To this day, I thank every single sub I get for every single story (although sometimes I get a little behind). I really am grateful!

The sub card pictured here is one that I only used for people who subbed during the FR launch event. Don't worry if you missed it... I made a very nice new sub-card for non-launch Subs, too :)
