“What happen to Keira?” Aiden questioned in concern.
"I sent the White Crows to get her and let her join her other siblings in safety, but none of them can find her whereabouts," Scarlet said, causing Aiden to scowl.
"What makes you concerned?” Ragna sourly cuts off. Since Aiden is the known to be the consort of the person who caused him to suffer for five years, Ragna does not completely know him and does not trust him.
"Impossible, I order some people to protect how she could be gone." Ragna and Scarlet arched an eyebrow at Aiden's response.
Like Ragna, Scarlet never imagined that Aiden would defy any of her commands, and since she didn't remember giving him any orders in the first place, her assistance for Keira had to be given behind her back.
Actually, Aiden detested it when [Scarlet] would do terrible things to the kids because it brought back memories of his upbringing. He was raised in the capital's slums and endured a difficult upbringing before meeting Scarlet at the age of fourteen. Although the kids weren't his, they were still the children of the person he loved, so he chose to love them as his own.
Therefore, he continued to send people to look after and protect the children under the Queen's back, but it didn't work the first time around when [Scarlet] found out the maid who he had sent to aid the first princess. Despite this setback, he continued to help the first princess and the other children but this time, he became more covert and diverted [Scarlet’s] attention from the children by offering to sleep on her bed in order to appease her mean streak. That's why it's unbelievable that the seventh princess has disappeared; when [Scarlet] sent the seventh princess in the Pet Shop, he intimidated the owner right once and sent his people to the princess's side and those people were experts.
"Have you discovered her whereabouts?" Aiden persisted in his question, his attractive face displaying concern.
"Ragna has found her; we are now going to her location.” Scarlet smiles reassuringly, recognizing that the knight is sincerely concerned for the child.
“I’m coming with you!” Aiden declared.
“We don’t need you.” Ragna snorted as he transformed into his wolf form.
Scarlet sighed and rubbed her forehead.
"Aiden, I want you to stay in here and keep the place in order while I'm
gone," she added, looking around as the he knights tie and confiscate the
rebels' weapons.
Will you be okay?" Aiden inquired, gently running his fingertip across her flower-covered face.
"I will." She weakly said as she climbed Ragna's back, with Aiden assisting her and grabbing a strand of her hair to kiss.
“Go.” He whispered.
Ragna snorted and began to gallop, and as they were on their way to their destination, Scarlet checked the quest screen.
[Side quest #1: Find the lost puppy.
Clear Conditions: The Seventh Royal child is missing find her before the countdown ends.
Time Limit: 4
Hours (Countdown: 01: 35: 53)
Compensation: A bottle of Anti-demon worm
Failure: Death of the Seventh Child]
Demons. Scarlet recalled that they are the major villains in the [book], and Aira, the main protagonist, was summoned to this planet to vanquish the Demon Army and purify [The Dark Haze] that engulfs the world. It's a rather cliché plot, but the work became famous because of its R-18 content.
Throughout the novel's four arcs, Aira fought and battled many demons, and as described in the story, they despised the holy power that priests from the Cathedral of Soliel and the Temple of the Moon possessed, as well as Aira, the 『Saint of Nyx』. Demons also have a hierarchy, and only powerful demons have the power to disguise and merge themselves as humans. However, a person with Holy power would respond to their presence and blue out their cover.
Regarding [Scarlet], there is no mention of the character being a demon in the novel, and she just lied to everyone in order to have a strong alibi, but she never considered the notion until the quest hinted at it.

She looked at the Main Quest #1; the countdown began when she finished the Main Quest #3, and if she wanted to learn more about the past of the body she possess, she must travel to the north.
'Why does she have to complete so many quests and suffer as a result while the main character of the novel spent so much time adventuring stress-free and happy in the novel? Life is very unfair!’ She moaned with exhaustion.
When she looked up, she saw that they had arrived at the capital's first wall. High walls separated the capital structure into three sections: the royal palace; the second wall, home of the nobility, knights, magicians, and wealthy people, and the first wall, where all commoners lived. Scarlet noticed a significant difference between the three as they explored the area.
The commoners’ homes are still made of stone, maybe because it is still the capital, although they are not as glamorous as the palace walls and the houses of the nobles. Although the people were evacuated because of the rebellion, you can still see that they lead simple lives. However, as Scarlet descended farther and farther, she came to understand the darkness of the area; they passed by the well-known brothel area and the gambling district, and she also noticed that some beggars chose not to follow the evacuation and continued to wait for food or to die. She can't help but remember her former life when she looks at them.
In a previous life, Scarlet was abandoned and found in a trash can. She was left there as a newborn, and her time in the orphanage was not easy. The corrupt director of the orphanage took advantage of all the donations, giving the children little food and clothing, but they were still given an education because the donors insisted on it. To hide the bruises on their bodies from his abuse, the director decided to homeschool the children, and he bribed the teachers' silence so that they would not speak out against him that later join on abusing them.
Sometimes she feels that the director of the orphanage is abusing some of the children sexually, but she is intelligent and avoids him many time, however, when she turned thirteen, the director of the orphanage had suddenly approached her in a sexually manner, frightened, she decided to run away from that place. She first became homeless begging for money to buy food and searching trash cans for food to put on her plate and she lived in this state of life style for two years.
During those two years, Scarlet witnessed the dark side of life as some of the people she knew turned to prostitution and drug sales to make ends meet. However, she refused to give up and kept moving in the direction of the light. She worked many part-time jobs to pay for her meals, and when she was twenty-five years old, she had saved up enough cash to rent a modest home.
In spite of her lack of formal education, Scarlet managed to launch her own company at the age of thirty. It was a tiny restaurant that grew in popularity due to its delicious food and had numerous franchises. Scarlet became a billionaire at the age of Fifty four. She had a knack for business and ventured into a variety of industries during that time, including hotels, restaurants, fashion, trading, and entertainment. Despite her wealth, Scarlet was not fortunate to have a happy marriage because her inability to bear children caused the marriage to end in divorce, and she never got married again.
She was diagnosed with cancer when she was fifty-nine years old, spending the remainder of her days in the hospital. Eventually, at sixty years old, she passed away and awoke as the character from the book she had been reading.
And having experiencing all of that, she doesn't want to go through it again in this life, which is why she is so determined to complete these quests in order to survive. She will also do everything in her power to bring prosperity to this kingdom because it is now her new home, and even though she has had many husbands, she will make an effort to get along with and understand them. Finally, and most importantly, she wants to fulfill her lifelong dream of becoming a devoted mother to her children.
She had always desired a kid, and now the gods have granted her nine. She detested the way Scarlet treated them, so she will do all in her power to turn those frightening expressions into smiles.
Ragna stopped abruptly, waking up from her daze. When she looked up, she saw a large, dark, and unsettling hole in the wall.
Scarlet is familiar with this area since it's the entrance to the sewer system in the city, also known as the slums, a place where the homeless can find refuge and where the capital laws don't apply.
“She is here.” Scarlet pointed out.
