On the last day of her week in the dream world, Yuna decides to take a break. She steps outside her luxurious apartment into the soft afternoon sunlight, feeling the weight of the ticking clock. The moment she steps onto the lawn, something catches her eye— a beautiful park in the distance, with swings and slides beckoning her.
Excited, Yuna walks toward it, her heart light and carefree. She hasn’t felt this free in so long, and the sight of the swings reminds her of simpler times. She eagerly climbs onto one of the swings, pushing herself higher and higher, feeling the wind whip through her hair.
For a moment, it’s bliss. But as she swings, something changes in the air. She’s no longer in her peaceful, carefree world. The sound of footsteps disrupts the silence, and she turns, her breath catching in her throat.
A figure—someone she can’t quite make out—runs toward her at an alarming speed. Her pulse races. It’s like a switch is flipped in her mind. Her nightmare, the one she can never shake, comes rushing back. The man’s shadow, his voice, his haunting presence—all of it floods her senses, and her anxiety surges. The air feels thick with fear, and Yuna’s breath becomes shallow.
Man (echoing in her mind, his voice dark and hypnotic):
“You shouldn’t be here.”
Her heart pounds in her chest, and a wave of panic sweeps over her. Yuna’s hands tremble as she desperately tries to steady herself on the swing, but it’s impossible. She can’t breathe. She can’t think. The fear is suffocating.
Without thinking, Yuna jumps off the swing and starts running, the sound of her footsteps mingling with the echo of his voice behind her. She doesn’t dare look back, knowing that if she does, he’ll be there—closer than ever. Her body is frozen in terror, her mind screaming for her to escape.
She stumbles forward, desperate to get away. And then, just as her heart threatens to give out, she spots something—a door.
It’s standing there in the middle of the park, glowing with light. The door that will take her back to the real world, back to the life she knows.
Yuna doesn’t hesitate. With all the strength she has left, she runs toward the door. She can hear the man’s footsteps, growing louder, but she doesn't care anymore. She reaches for the door handle, her fingers shaking as she grasps it.
The moment she opens the door, she steps through, her vision blurring.
Everything goes dark.
