‎I was listening to Boombayah, a kpop song by my favorite girl band,Blackpink whilst driving. I loved them so much and Lisa was my bias. They started their debut with this song and it was a hit. When it comes to my genre of music,it is western and kpop. I stopped at a convenience store in order to buy some vegetables for Grandpa.

‎

‎I got down from the car,entered the store  and called him on the phone.

‎

‎"Hello grandpa,what should I buy for dinner?" I asked

‎

‎"Yeah dear,I was about to call you. Everything is in the house,I only need some lettuce and broccoli. Oh and don't forget to buy some wine. The one in the fridge just finished and you know my favorite" he stated

‎

‎"Okay I hear you .love you bye"I said and he hummed .It seems he was sipping the wine which he claimed ,was finished .This man and wine.

‎"Hello good evening". I greeted the man at the counter.

‎

‎"Yeah hi how are you? What will you be buying today Chris?"he asked

‎

‎"I'm doing great . I came to buy some lettuce and broccoli."I answered.

‎

‎"Go to the left side of the refrigerator there " he said pointing at a refrigerator at the back. I nodded and went there and picked the vegetables I needed.

‎

‎I then went to where I knew they sold the wine and took one glass bottle of strawberry wine . Done with my mini shopping,I brought the things to the counter for payments.

‎

‎Jethro started to scan the products with the barcode reader and smiled when he held the wine bottle.

‎

‎"How is uncle Ted by the way?" he asked.

‎

‎"He's fit as a fiddle" I answered in a playful tone.

‎

‎"Advise him to reduce the intake of wine . He is growing." he said and I sighed.

‎

‎"I have, countless times but he won't listen. You know how stubborn that old man is?" I said and we both laughed.

‎

‎"Buh don't worry,I'm a doctor so I'm aware of how much he takes and there is a limit at which he stops" I said and he nodded.

‎

‎"Such a filial and caring grandson" he said and I smiled. 

‎

‎"Okay that would be $50,would you like to pay in cash or credit card?" he asked

‎

‎"Cash please"I answered and took some notes from my pocket and handed it to him. He looked at it and said

‎

‎"I'll be keeping the change." and I laughed.

‎

‎"No problem.  I'll be taking my leave then." I said taking my packed stuffs from the counter.

‎

‎"Extend my greetings to your grandpa. "he said .

‎

‎"Okay,uncle I will" I said.

‎

‎'uncle' because grandpa regarded him as a son since he was an orphan and grandpa together with his auntie took care of him.

‎

‎Exiting the store and entering my car,I headed straight home.

‎

‎"Grandpa,I'm home!" I announced as I entered the living room. A sweet aroma passed my nostrils which made my stomach grumble and rumble.

‎

‎"Someone seems very hungry" grandpa said as he came out from the kitchen wearing the hello kitty apron I bought for him last christmas.

‎

‎"I didn't realize I hadn't eaten all day until now." I said and grandpa face turned worried.

‎

‎"What, you haven't eaten since morning.Don't you know you can get Ulcer? " He asked .  Of course I knew if you don't eat on time ,you will get Ulcer. I'm a doctor for crying out loud.

‎

‎"I was busy all day grandpa and I forget" I answered lazily.

‎

‎"If you don't eat and get strong,how will you be able to do operations. Your patients need you to be healthy so you don't screw up" he advised solemnly and I knew he was serious so I had to adjust my face well or else he would be very angry I'm not taking the matter seriously.

‎

‎"Okay,fine I hear you I promise to eat on time from now onwards." I said and raised my right hand like what the military did when giving an oath just to lighten the mood and it worked for he gave me a smile.

‎

‎"Where are the veggies? Give them to me." he requested so I did so.

‎

‎"Please put the wine in the fridge for me and go and rest,I don't need your help in the kitchen so don't come. Dinner will be ready in twenty minutes" he ordered and headed back to the kitchen.

‎

‎Climbing up the stairs,I entered my room and undressed myself and straight to the bathroom. I heated some water in the bathtub,placed some scented rose petals inside and immersed my whole body inside.

‎

‎I was relaxed at once. I closed my eyes to savor this quiet alone time when his face flashed in my head. Today I didn't see him. Why wasn't he in the hospital?

‎Well Green Hills Hospital was very big so the possibility of not seeing him was high.

‎

‎  Still thinking of him,I took my phone from the side of the bathtub and decided to check what was going on in the group chat Cas had created. I wanted to check what was going on in the hospital in my absence.

‎

‎"Hello everyone"

‎

‎That was Cas in the morning and it seemed no one had responded till six pm in the evening.

‎

‎"Yeah today has been a busy day. I'm really exhausted" That was Dr.Calahan.

‎

‎"Same here. I can't wait for my shift to be over" Dr. Saggs texted and I smiled.

‎

‎"Me too" texted Dr. Solano .

‎

‎"You guys seem to be free now,giving you are chatting in the group"I sent

‎

‎"Dr.Light,you don't have to rub it in our faces that you are at home enjoying yourself" Dr.Saggs replied and attached an angry emoji to it.

‎

‎"Dr.Light,please are you busy?"

‎

‎My heart jumped,then entered my stomach when I saw who texted me.

‎

‎Leonard, Cas told me she had added him to the group but it has been a month since she did that and now he's making a presence?

‎

‎What does he want from me? Calm down,it is nothing but work stuff don't get ahead of yourself.

‎

‎"Hey,Dr.Hills,didn't know you were also in this group.Howdy?" Dr.Saggs asked.

‎

‎"I'm fine thank you" Leonard sent and my heart raced. He was really online . Oh my gosh.

‎

‎"Don't need to be formal here Dr. Leonard. We aren't at work." Saggs sent

‎

‎Leonard then sent him a thumbs up emoji . Aww,he even sends emojis.

‎

‎"No Dr. Hills,is there anything you need?" I sent anticipating for his reply as my heart started thumping.

‎

‎"Yes,I have been trying to get contact with Dr.Stones but I can't and since you two seem close,please tell her I'm waiting for her to send the details of the people  who applied for training in the hospital. " He sent and I was downcast.

‎

‎As I said,it was definitely work stuff.

‎

‎"Okay,I will let her know,she is currently busy with something so I won't be able to tell her now unless tomorrow,hope that wouldn't be a problem?"I sent.

‎

‎"Of course not,thank you"he sent

‎

‎"No problem.what are friends for?"sending that text was like a sting in my heart

‎

‎"Yeah"he sent and just like that he went offline.

‎

‎Huh Leonard,the man I had undeniably fell in love with. He was the son of Derrick Hills,the president of the hospital.  He was very handsome. Almost all the female staffs in the hospital have a crush on him . Even Cas had a crush until she met Branson.

‎

‎Leonard was the epitome of prince charming. His height ,skin,eyes,nose and lips were a delight to watch .

‎

‎ I remember the first time we met. I was twenty by then when I was running to the emergency room because grandpa had an accident. I tripped and was about to fall when someone caught me in his embrace.

‎

‎My heart skipped a lot of beats when our eyes locked. His green eyes captivated my soul that very instant. They starred at me as if looking directly at my soul. It was like we were the only people in the world. I had completely forgotten about grandpa that instant(which makes me feel guilty.thinking about it now) and my focus was all on this gorgeous man who held  me in his warm and strong embrace.

‎

‎That was the power he had over me. Not only was he physically gifted but he was very brilliant. He was so far the third best neurosurgeon in the hospital after the chief of the neurosurgery department then his father.

‎

‎He also owned a shipping company in England which was worth millions.

‎

‎Not only that but has a gold mining company in Ghana which was worth thousands of dollars. Quite rich right.

‎

‎But does not the reason why I fell in love with him . I loved him because of his personality.

‎

‎He was caring,to his patients,respectful to everyone in the hospital,mostly,hev covered bills for the poor patients who couldn't afford their medication and didn't have insurance.

‎

‎Because of this,he was known as the Good Samaritan.  Despite all his wealth,he was very down to earth. That's why I fell in love with him .

‎

‎Who am l even kidding,it's not like he has same feelings for me. He just sees me as a friend that's all. Such a guy like him is definitely straight.

‎

‎"Love what are you still doing there?Aren't you done? I have finished dinner twenty minutes ago. Come down and eat now" he said in my room and I heard his retreating footsteps as he went downstairs.

‎

‎Time had really passed by quickly. That's Leonard Hills for you.

‎

‎Fully refreshed,I got out of the bathtub,dressed and headed downstairs to eat dinner with my grandpa.
