Chapter 5 : " A Young Boy "

Chapter 5 : " A Young Boy "

Sep 01, 2025

Moments later.

“VHAHAHAHAH!” Auntie Victoria then laughed hard, “What a small word it is.” Auntie Victoria then added.

“Take a seat first, children of God, you guys better get each other know properly first,” Auntie Victoria then said as she spoke with the boys while she looked at Lily right after.

The boys then took their seats as Auntie Victoria and Lily were still standing.

“Joseph, I want you to meet my one and only niece, Lily Martinez.” Auntie Victoria then said as she introduced her niece Lily to Joseph who had just arrived at the mansion a while ago.

“Hello Joseph, I am Lily, and I am very sorry again for what happened yesterday.” Lily then lowers her head as she looks at Joseph with an apologetic facial expression. “I will pay the remaining amount I owe you. When I already have money.” Lily then added up.

“It’s okay, pardon accepted.” Joseph then replied to what Lily said.

Lily then smiled as she looked at Joseph.

“Just pay me with interest, twenty pesos per day. So, you owe me a hundred and fifty, and it happened yesterday. So, plus one day interest, it will be a hundred and seventy now. Thank you.” Joseph then added up as he said these words to Lily.

The facial expression of Lily instantly changed as she heard Joseph say these words. “Are you serious!? No way!” Lily then shockingly said as her eyes became big because of the surprise. “I won’t never ever pay you that much. A Hundred and fifty is enough,” Lily then added as anger started to fill her tone of voice.

“I walked that night, seven kilometers, just to get into Auntie Victoria’s restaurant,” Lily then said. “Because I paid you the last money that I have.” Lily then added up as he looked towards Joseph fiercely.

Joseph then stood up, “It is none of my business, and I do not care what happened to you that afternoon or that night.” Joseph then replied.

“We are talking about business here, we are talking about the troubles you cause me. We are talking about the time that got wasted because of your clumsiness. And from the first place, you lied. That you can pay for it, but you can’t.” Joseph then said, as he was serious and looking towards Lily with serious intent. Lily was shocked and surprised because of Joseph’s behavior.

“VHAHAHAHA!” Auntie Victoria laughs, as Xander and Anthony also laugh.

Van then stood up as he held Joseph on his shoulders and, together, they sat down again. “Sorry for that, Lily, Otep is just a very business-minded person. Time is gold.” Van then spoke up as he said sorry to Lily and calmed Joseph down.

Auntie Victoria then spoke up, “Alright to settle this thing, Joseph, I am just going to add it to your salary, okay?” Auntie Victoria then said. “… ….” Joseph said something towards Lily.

“What did you say!?” Lily then reacted angrily as she heard that Joseph had said something to her.

Joseph then smiled towards Auntie Victoria, “Alright Auntie Victoria, thank you. Hundred and fifty is enough,” Joseph then said. “Pardon me for my attitude, Auntie Victoria.” Joseph then added.

“Now I want you to properly introduce yourself to my niece Lily.” Auntie Victoria then said as he spoke with Joseph.

Joseph then stood up and looked towards Lily. “I am Joseph Trono.” Joseph said, and immediately sat down. Joseph is a five foot eleven inches tall man. He has a unique pretty black hair. His physique is quite good, and he is a very handsome, super-attractive, cute and hot boy.

Auntie Victoria smiled. “Okay, okay, that is enough,” Auntie Victoria said. "To cut this short, Joseph. You are the only one who doesn’t know why you are here right?” Auntie Victoria then added up as she said these words to Joseph. Joseph then nodded his head towards Auntie Victoria.

“You are here because you are going to live here soon together with your best friends,” Auntie Victoria then said to Joseph. Joseph immediately looked towards his best friends with happiness as he smiled towards them.

“And of course, together with my niece Lily.” Auntie Victoria added as she continued to speak to Joseph.

“WHAT!?” Joseph immediately reacted as he could not believe. “No way, Auntie Victoria, it is better to stay in the restaurant and sleep in the kitchen,” Joseph added, as being disapproved of what he heard and could be heard in his tone of voice.

“Is he going to live here too, Auntie Victoria?” Lily then also spoke up with disbelief and surprise in her tone of voice and facial expression.

“Yes, you two are going to live here together.” Auntie Victoria then replied to Lily and Joseph.

“I AM NOT LIVING WITH THIS SCAM!” shouted by both Lily and Joseph, who both stood up because of the disbelief and surprise. As they immediately look towards each other with a shocked and annoyed facial expression.

“How dare you call me in that way!?” Joseph said to Lily.

“No! You! How dare you call me a scam!?” Lily then replied with an angry-looking eye towards Joseph.

“VHAHAHAHA!” Auntie Victoria laughed as the boys also laughed. “This is interesting.” Auntie Victoria then smiled.

“Auntie Victoria, I am going to decline the offer. I am not going to live here!” Lily immediately said as she was being carried away by her feelings.

Auntie Victoria stood up, “No sweety, don’t let your feelings get in the way and do not decide while you are upset or angry.” Auntie Victoria then replied. “When things are already cool, think of it. Remember everything I said sweety.” Auntie Victoria then added up and said these words to her niece Lily. Lily looks at her Auntie Victoria with a worried facial expression.

“Joseph, I know what you are thinking. The small house near the restaurant will be occupied by Anne and the rest of the female staff. So, this is the only shelter where you can move and live. I know you pretty boy, just think of this first. Because if you are also going to go back to the house that you are renting, remember? A lot of your stalkers already know that address, and you do not want to be disturbed, right? So, think of it first, Okay darling?” Auntie Victoria said as she spoke towards Joseph. Joseph was about to walk towards the entrance door, but he stopped because of Auntie Victoria.

“Thank you, Auntie Victoria. I’ll be going now. I still have something to do in the restaurant.” Joseph then made his way outside the mansion. “Egg Yolk!” Joseph shouted as he was saying these words to Lily.

“What!? Is that for me?” Lily annoyingly said as she asked the three boys.

“He put a nickname on you, Hahahaha!” Anthony laughed as he answered Lily.

“Pardon for that, Lily.” Xander then said.

“He never changes.” Van then spoke up.

Auntie Victoria then sat down together with Lily.

“Auntie Victoria, I am going to leave also,” said by Anthony.

“Me too, Auntie Victoria.” Xander then also said.

“I am also going too, Auntie Victoria.” Van then also said.

The three boys then stood up as they went towards Auntie Victoria and said their byes already.

“Be safe pretty boys, safe driving okay?” Auntie Victoria then said these words to the three boys. The three boys then smiled towards Auntie Victoria.

“Bye Lily, Nice meeting you,” Anthony said as he winked towards Lily.

“Have a good day ahead, Lily.” Xander then said as he smiled towards Lily.

“Hoping that you will accept the offer, Lily.” Van then said as he looked at Lily’s eyes.

Lily did not respond, she just nodded her head as worries were still in her facial expression.

The three boys then made their way, as they were now going outside and leaving the mansion.

Auntie Victoria and Lily are the only ones left in the mansion.

“Sweety, I know what you are thinking right now,” Auntie Victoria then said as she began to speak to her niece Lily.

Lily is still worried as she is looking towards her Auntie Victoria, who is talking to her.

“Joseph is just like that, because of the things he has been through all his life. But he is a hardworking and a good man,” Auntie Victoria then said.

“He is the grandson of my former nanny. Her grandmother was my nanny back then when your Grandfather Fredo and Grandmother Perpetua were both still building up their family, which are my parents. I came into this world with Mama Bibih, by my side. That is what I call Nanny Bibih, I called her Mama. She is the one who took care of me when my parents were so busy in their work and business,” Auntie Victoria said as she started to tell the story of Joseph.

Lily is seriously listening to her Auntie Victoria.

Auntie Victoria then smiled, “I grew up with Mama Bibih. She was very caring, and she loved me as her child. She is a widow. She is the one who stood up as my parent and always got my back. She taught me a lot of things in life, but everything changed when her son, the father of Joseph died in a car accident together with Joseph’s mother. Nanny Bibih left everything here in Zamboanga, and went back to her province where she took care of her only grandson, Joseph. Joseph was still seven years old back then, when her parents died,” Auntie Victoria then said as she continued to tell the story of Joseph.

“Joseph was raised by Mama Bibih alone. It has been years since I did not have any communication or information about Mama Bibih. I got busy back then, but one day. A newly grade six graduate boy stood up in front of my restaurant. The restaurant that was built when I was still a baby. He was just standing there beside the entrance door, afraid to go in. He caught my attention back then, as I went outside and asked if he was looking for something. He then went towards me immediately and asked me if I was Victoria Martinez. He then showed me a picture of a woman who is carrying a child. That picture was a picture of me and Mama Bibih that Mama Bibih kept with her. My tears shed the moment he told me that Mamah Bibih had already passed away, months ago. And that Mama Bibih left a letter to him, that when he would be needing help. He must go to Zamboanga and look for a restaurant named Victoria’s Kitchen.” Auntie Victoria then said, as Lily was moved by what she heard.

“Joseph showed me the letter and there I embraced him and shed more tears. The woman who took care of me was his grandmother. From that day, I did not hesitate to help Joseph. He does not have any family left. He began to work as an assistant in the restaurant kitchen while studying in high school. He refused to accept my offer that he didn't need to work because I was willing to help him without any favor. Auntie Victoria continued to speak.

“I put him in to school, where he met the son of my friends. Those four boys have been best friends since high school. They also knew the story of Joseph.” Auntie Victoria then added up as he looked at her niece Lily.

“Joseph works hard, balancing his studies and work at my restaurant at the same time. He is an amazing boy, and he never fails to amaze me. He is also a gifted and talented one. He is taking up his Bachelor of Fine Arts major in Industrial Design. And he is planning to take a Business Degree after that.” Auntie Victoria then shared a lot of things with her niece Lily as she shared the story of Joseph.

Lily had some thoughts in her mind, as can be seen in her facial expression.

“And together with the other boys, you do not need to worry. They are all educated and well-mannered boys. But the three are spoiled ones, so you need to teach them some ways of life,” Auntie Victoria then said with a bit of a joking tone of voice.

Auntie Victoria then holds the hands of Lily. “I know that you knew Joseph a very different way compared to the other boys. But I hope that it will not affect the offer I gave you. Think of it sweety and speak with your parents,” Auntie Victoria then said as she smiled heartily towards her niece Lily.

Lily smiled with a bit of worry in her face.
