[Scene: Caelia and Cassian in Mrs. Poppy’s home, restructuring the kitchen. Taking apart the old wooden cabinets that are rotting. They plan to make new cabinets, repiping the sink, ensuring that the same issues of molding don't arise again.]

CAELIA:

“I’m glad we were able to get Mrs. Poppy a temporary home for the time being while we fix the home.”

CASSIAN:

“Did she not have any family around to stay with?”

CAELIA (shakes head):

“She is actually a widowed woman. She’s been in depression since her husband passed which is why the house turned into this. 

But.. she told me that renovating the house for her is gonna be a new start for her.

Which is why I want this to work out so bad.”

CASSIAN:

“We will make it work. No matter what. Although, it’s getting late. We should probably go back to our guest homes to rest.”

[Caelia and Cassian walk together in the night to the guest home that they are temporarily staying at.]

[They enter the guest home, say goodnight to each other before going into their separate rooms and sleep for the night.]

[Scene: The next day. Caelia and Cassian make over to Mrs. Poppy’s house.]

CAELIA (blueprint in hand):

“Alright, today, we are gonna clean the kitchen, rebuild the cabinets and fix the sink pipes.”  

CASSIAN: 

“Sounds good to me. Although, the house does need a lot of work and it might take a while with just the two of us.”

CAELIA:

“Yeah, it will be hard but we can always take it day by day. We should try to make the best house for Mrs. Poppy so she can be motivated to live her life how she wants to.”

[Montage: Caelia and Cassian clean the home and get rid of the trash. Caelia and Cassian take apart the entire kitchen and start building the new cabinets. The townsfolk outside the home are witnessing a Royal do physical labor for the first time.]

VILLAGER 1 (peeping through the windows):

“It really does seem like they’re helping Mrs. Poppy out with her home.”

VILLAGER 2:

“It’s a big task for two people, wouldn’t it be good to help them out a little bit?”

VILLAGER 1:

“I can’t stand those damned royals.”

VILLAGER 2:

“I know, but it really does seem that maybe Lady Ardent turned over a new leaf. Just look at all of the bruises on her arms from handling the wood and stone.”

VILLAGER 1:

“Tch. I am not buying it.”

VILLAGER 2:

“Suit yourself, I’m gonna grab some stone blocks for them for the fireplace. Follow me or don't, that's up to you.”

[Villager 2 leaves the home in search of some stone blocks. Villager 1 reluctantly follows shortly after.]

[Scene: Later at night, the kitchen is all done and refurbished. Beautiful marble countertops with a new, metal sink, and running water.]

CAELIA:

“Wow! I can’t believe we finished that! Go us!”

CASSIAN:

“Yeah, I can’t believe it! Time to finally rest up and do it all again tomorrow.”

[Caelia and Cassian go outside the home and are surprised by a wagon full of stone bricks outside.]

CAELIA:

“What are these? Did you grab these, Cassian?”

CASSIAN:

“No, I didn’t.”

[Villager 1 and Villager 2 merge from darkness behind the wagon.]

VILLAGER 2 (bowing):

“Lady Ardent, we have come here to apologize for our behavior a couple days ago. 

We have bad experiences with people from the royal circle and put it out on you. 

We see that you want to help out Mrs. Poppy and would like to help out as well.

Please forgive us.”

VILLAGER 1 (bowing);

“Even though my opinion of you guys hasn’t changed, I still can’t let myself watch a lady get bruises from hauling over heavy objects. Please let us help out.”

[Caelia and Cassian look at each other and smile.]

CAELIA:

“Bring your heads up.”

[Both Villagers bring their heads up. Once they did that, Caelia bowed down to them.]

“I’m looking forward to working with you guys. Please help out in any way you can starting tomorrow.”

[Montage: in the next couple days, people from the town started helping out on the house. In no time, the house was getting finished under Caelia and Cassian’s orders.]

[They all worked together in a streamline fashion to work on the fireplace, which is the main focal point of the small home.]

[Scene: On the fourth night, Cassian and Caelia sit on the porch steps, exhausted. The stars begin to peek through the evening sky.]

Cassian:
“I can’t believe we finished ahead of schedule with everyone helping.”

Caelia (laughing):
“We could’ve finished earlier if we didn’t take too many porch breaks.”

Cassian:
“Even engineers need to rest.”

Caelia (smiles):

“I think my favorite piece in the house is the fireplace. It’s the one piece that everyone worked together on.”

[Cassian nods, looks at her, and adds, quietly.]

Cassian:
“You’ve changed a lot of minds here. Including mine.”

Caelia (teasing):
“You thought I was a bratty noble, didn’t you?”

Cassian (shrugging):
“Only at first because of the rumors. You were known as a wicked witch.

[They laugh softly.]

But you are kind and brilliant, Caelia.”

CAELIA - INNER MONOLOGUE:

Brilliant… 

I think that might be my favorite compliment I’ve ever gotten.

Especially when it comes from him.

[Scene: Next day - Cassian and Caelia pick up Mrs. Poppy from her guest home and bring her over to her finished house.]

CAELIA - INNER MONOLOGUE:

Man, I am kind of nervous, what if she doesn’t like what we have done?

But, Cassian, the townsfolk, and I worked so hard to bring all of this together. We did our best.

[Caelia and Cassian arrive at the finished house and are at the front doors.]

CASSIAN (holding the door handle):

“Are you ready, Mrs. Poppy?”

MRS. POPPY:

“Yes!”

[Cassian opens the door. Inside, the house is spotless, the kitchen fully renovated with new marble and a new sink. The walls of the home were replaced with new wood, ensuring that they would last a lifetime and through any storm. A soft-lit stone fireplace wraps the coziness of the quaint home altogether.]

Mrs. Poppy (crying):
“I haven’t seen this house look this alive in decades.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!”

[Mrs. Poppy hugs Caelia]

“My dear Caelia, your engineering is motivating me to continue living. 

I can’t thank you enough for that. 

My late husband is very happy in Heaven watching over me, I already know that.”

[Caelia starts crying in Mrs. Poppy’s arms. Cassian admires this scene from afar.]

[Scene: Shot of the rebuilt home glowing under lantern light. Villagers chat nearby, admiring the structure. Cassian and Caelia stand side by side, not speaking, just watching.]
