(The Fire Next To Me Takes place BEFORE this Story)
The sun was merely starting to rise from its long slumber on this cold winter night as the creaking of a huge metal door could be heard from the middle of the island next to Mirai Island, the island that was surrounded by the Ring Continent.
Soft steps were slowly being heard as they pressed slowly in a soft stumble against the white snow that covered the ground. Ripples of blood hit the ground as the stumbling young figure kept on moving forward as far as they possibly could from their previous location, not once turning back until they reached the side of the island. Before them was about a two-kilometer-wide sea that separated this island from Mirai Island, but of course, this was not going to stop the figure from achieving its goal.
The figure took a few steps back before jumping across the impossibly large gap as if it was nothing for them. The sunshine hit their face for the first time in a long time. The light of the sun revealed the face of a young scarred boy with red glowing eyes; he had long flowing grey hair and looked to stand at about 5 foot 6 tall. His scars were old and most likely caused by some sort of experiment he may have been in before.
This man never stopped running. Never. Not for a fight, not to hide, not for anything. He would keep on running until he had found a safe place to live once more.
Only after traveling for almost 2 days without stopping did he finally find a place that he found safe enough. A closed-off city full of people with strange abilities like him. A young family was kind enough to adopt the young male as one of their own.
For the first day in his life, The man was given a name by someone who actually cared for him: that name,
Clive Kushin.
