The next morning, the sky was still bright as I stepped into the dojo with Felix. The atmosphere in the spacious, quiet training hall gave a sense of calm, but also a heavy burden of responsibility.
Felix looked at me sternly.”Today’s training will focus on the basic control of your curse energy. Remember, power without control will only bring ruin to yourself.”
I took a deep breath, trying to digest his words and focus my mind.
First, Felix asked me to feel the curse energy within my body without trying to move it yet.
“Close your eyes, feel the wave of energy inside you. Don’t fight it, just let it flow,” Felix’s instruction sounded soft but firm.
I followed, closing my eyes and delving into the strange yet powerful sensation speaking through the arcs of energy within me. But the more I tried, the more the energy pulsed wildly, sometimes making my body tremble.
Felix approached me slowly and said, “Your tension is making the energy wild. I will use my curse (Soul Reader) to read you.”
His eyes shone with intense focus, and suddenly I felt as if Felix was reading every vibration of my emotion and fear.
“Your heart rate is skyrocketing, there’s hidden fear, and that fear is making the energy unstable,” he explained. “Let me guide you. Take a deep breath, and imagine the energy is like a calm river; the current can be swift, but it must be directed.”
I tried again, this time with a calmer feeling, even though my brain was still fighting against the wave of energy that wanted to be free.
Felix guided me patiently, "Focus on the center of energy in your stomach, stay relaxed. Don’t try to control everything at once; start with a small fragment first.”
I slowly reached out my hand, trying to touch and lift a piece of that energy into my grasp.
Once again, the wild energy tried to break free, making my legs tremble.

“You’re approaching your limit. Don’t be afraid to stop and pull back if you feel overloaded,” Felix advised, holding my shoulder.
The training continued with more specific methods, like activating and deactivating a single fragment of the ‘A Thief’ curse, akin to turning a switch on and off.
Felix kept observing and intervening with his own curse to calm the disruptive waves of emotion.
Every small success made my fatigue feel worthwhile, bolstered by the belief that I could master this.
At the end of the draining session,I managed to hold and move one fragment of energy steadily for several minutes without sudden pain.
Felix smiled, this time wider, “That’s great progress, Kai. But remember, your path is still long and full of risks. I will continue to guide you, to make sure you don’t cross the line.”
I nodded, my body tired but my mind full of hope. In silence, I made a strong resolution: I will master this curse, so I can get my revenge, no matter what it takes.
