The boy waddles. He waddles more. Soon getting exhausted.
The edges of the shattered landscape were encompassed by the thick haze, which surrounded the meadow. The waterfall covered most of the mentioned meadow. As well, footsteps were heard, and more stains appeared. Meaning new routes for the child.
Ahead, the cascade ceased to flow like water.
A child moved through the haze.
Barefoot, small, wrapped in a black cloak that trailed the ground behind him. He had golden ornaments around his wrists and ankles. Which sparkled.
He stopped beside the shattered structure of the waterfall. and his picture was just starting to take shape when it was broken by the water's waves. He gave his lips a single smack.
He just stared for a long time, as though he thought he would see himself, but the area was already engulfed in haze. He'd quickly fall back, feeling the cold breeze against his small frame. He'd breathe heavily and slowly, shaking somewhat. It felt welcoming.
The noise around him was altered. The trickle turned into a murmur. He'd smack his lips at the water in defense again.
Then something moved.
In the fog behind him, figures shifted. Shapes half-formed, gliding closer, their garments. Neither solid nor spirit, their outlines were blurred in the light, but they were observing.
Sparkling again from the chains around his neck, he raised his head toward the waterfall into whatever existed beyond.
The scene froze and the air shook.
He staggered forward with his arms spread wide. He behaved like a baby. He couldn't walk properly because he was a toddler. He waddles.
Then he was completely engulfed by the world, all that was heard was his soft breathing and rapid movement.
A wandering cloaked toddler seems to have gotten lost and made his, way into a hazy wasteland. Ethereal-like. It mainly consumed by a massive broken structure. He continues on his journey through this new land—and meets several unusual adults along the way. Which aid him on his way!?
