Creak… The door opened like it moved on its own, except that Rachel’s mom was the one who placed her hand on the door knob.

“Sweetie, how are you and your friend doing?” She asked politely with such good manners of how a mother should be, holding a plate of two ham and cheese sandwiches

Rachel sat up all golly, “we’re doing great! Although today is a little boring because we’re still thinking about what our next adventure should be for Prince Darkness and Bright Bunny.”

“Ah! I remember them, they’re the people you made up in your heads, right?”

“Yes mom, they’re not just people, they’re heroes in Wonderland!” Said Rachel, taking the ham and cheese sandwich with her own hands, and takes a bite out of it. Same with her friend, Joel, chowing down on the freshly made ham and cheese sandwich.

“How about an adventure where Prince Darkness and Bright Bunny make sandwiches with their critter friends? That could make a heartwarming story of yours.” Said Rachel’s mom, making the light bulb brighten above her daughter’s head.

“That’s such a good idea, mom!” She replies happily.

~ Somewhere in Wonderland ~

  Bright Bunny, dressed in a pink pastel colored summer dress, gently sliced the edges of the bread. One to four bread pieces have been done by the blade of a butter knife. Meanwhile, Prince Darkness is washing two plates in the kitchen sink.

“So who are we making these sandwiches for?” Asked Bright Bunny in a voice that’s normally high pitched, finished with cutting the edges of each slice of white bread.

“We’re making sandwiches for my mother. She’s a sucker for ham and cheese sandwiches with olives on top.” He responded in a deep, formal sounding voice. 

They placed the turkey ham, then the yellow cheese onto the slice of white bread. Then there goes a toothpick with an olive stabbed through it, and all done! The two sandwiches on each of the plates look perfect, just the way they are.

  Walking out the front door and closing it, Prince Darkness used his white gloved hands to magically turn an outer space’s star and turn it into a flying car with its wheels as glowing stars. The vehicle itself also has shades of the galaxy on the outside, while its insides appear to run on sparkles and glitter.

“Hop in.” He said with a smirk.

  WOOOSH! There goes the flying car into outer space, passing by each unique planet with its own life, as they make their way through the sparkling atmosphere. Finally, our two heroes arrive at a floating lavender lightly colored castle.

The big doors opened for Prince Darkness and Bright Bunny after being fortunately recognized by the knights. In their sight is a queen with a floating crown looking out the window, her eyes directly focused on outer space.

“Ahem.” He cleared his throat to catch his mother’s attention.

“Who dares to- Prince Darkness? Bright Bunny?!” The Queen of Outer Space beamed with surprise and delight, “oh my, it’s a pleasure to meet my son and his friend again!”

Her black eyes with white pupils spotted the two plates of two sandwiches each, “all for me? Thank you very much!”

  As soon as she approached them and extended her hand to reach for one of the ham and cheese sandwiches, an earthquake suddenly erupted.

Oh no.. Could it be..?

  It was a snake-like dragon flying in the outer space’s atmosphere, breathing blue fire onto the giant castle as the knights fought it with their iron swords. Some have bows with arrows that aren’t strong enough to go through the snake-like dragon. Only for a few of them to be unfortunate enough to get eaten and digested inside. 

“Looks like it’s time to do the usual!” Bright Bunny chirped as she and him took out their weapons, a bow and a gun. But first, they take her to safety which is the dungeon underneath the castle. It was the only place that could hide her from the snake-like dragon.

  Prince Darkness used his skills of perfectly aiming at the dragon with the bow, shooting the arrow as it hit it right in the neck. Bright Bunny shot three carrots directly towards the snake-like dragon right in the eye, the carrots exploding into poisonous juice that gave out the right amount of damage.

  The snake-like dragon couldn’t see, its sight hurt by the poisonous juice splattered onto it. Its tail nearly hit our heroes, recklessly moving around.It roared loudly at the very top of its lung until it exploded into sparkles and free star-shaped candies.

“You can come out now!” Bright Bunny called out to her best friend’s mother, the Queen of Outer Space. She quickly walked out of her hiding spot, relieved about the fact that she’s alive, and so is her son and his one and only friend.

  The knights ran up to her, “ma’am, are you alright?!”, one of them said with a tone of worry.

“Yes, I am fine!” The Queen responded with one drop of sweat dripping down her forehead.

  Prince Darkness turned to face Bright Bunny and gently took her hands into his, grinning but (seemingly) not in a lunatic manner, “you did a great job, Bun! I don’t know what I’ll ever do without you.”

  Her ego went up, “awww, no need to thank me! You know how much of a great fighter I am when it comes to these situations where we fought the bad guys.”

  His thumb wipes off the sparkle bit off of her rosy lips, his gaze staring down at them, “No really, I don’t know what I’ll do without you.. You’re perfect, for me at least…”

  “HOLD UP, HOLD UP!” Rachel immediately interrupted, holding the paper doll who resembles Bright Bunny, “does Prince Darkness have a thing for her?”

“Yep, I guess you could say that.” Joel replied nonchalantly.

“My bad, continue.”

  Prince Darkness leaned his face close to Bright Bunny’s, his lips hovering over her cheek and pressed it against her smooth skin. In return, she did the same out of gratitude. Both kissed each other on the cheek twice with the same gratitude they have for each other.

  It’s evident that they do love each other, judging by how they looked each other in the eyes. Although friends don’t look at one another like that.

  Joel playfully makes kissy sounds as his paper doll of Prince Darkness smooching Bright Bunny on the cheek two times. To Rachel, it was funny as she laughs at the warm concept of the romance between their fictional heroes. To Joel, it’s… Something. To them, the adventures of Prince Darkness and Bright Bunny will never end!
