Laying down on the penthouse’s couch, she could see quite visibly through the glass, the big buildings, commercializing everything, with her picture fading away within five minutes per announcement.
The new face had already been chosen, and despite the fact that she knew, she couldnt help, but let out that little breath of laughter, from this disappointing world that had “chosen” to set her free, when really, she had left on her own accord. The sky was empty as ever, the moon never showing its face on this accursed city, yet she still yearned for it. And in the midst of her search for it, her eyes had already been put to rest, as she found herself on an uncommonly green ground.
The gentle breeze put paid to the blooming white poppies that surrounded the field she had found herself in. Unlike the dreams of agonizing screams that begged her to save them, as she remained still like a corpse, the change of scenery was surprising, but at the same time, somehow relieving.
Where was she? She pondered as she looked around, to find nothing but more and more fields of poppies. So she began walking. Wherever her feet could take her. And she walked. And walked more. And she kept walking.
More walking. The silence creeped in both slowly and as paced as possible, eventually silencing all thoughts in her head. Where was this all heading? The question faded away like her footprints.
Where to next?
Where are we?
Who am I?
Which loop is this?
Is this the same dream?
When will it end?
It conjured like a storm, but at the same time, it crumbled away like a helpless broken shell trying to stay in one piece, before the hatchling roared it's foot out, revealing it's colors to the world.
And then, there it was.
That shimmering light that engulfed her entire being as though she were a mere ant. Hanging in the sky like a celestial deity that had it's eyes solely on her. That preyed on her pale skin that resembled its own cold flesh as though she were a part of it.
