Hey everyone, Jeremy here!
I hope all of you are well so far. I’m here today to provide updates regarding some changes to the previous chapters for the Hellwave novel, the upcoming release dates for the new chapters, and to do a recap of all the old episodes. But first, let me address the changes.
Changes made:
-
- For chapter 2, I spotted an error where the chapter mentioned Erika was sixteen years old, but she should be fifteen years old. Now the new changes should show she’s fifteen in that chapter.
-
-
- For Chapter 6, there is a plot hole error where the chapter mentions Lieutenant Freida was trying to kick her way out of the crashed humvee, but in fact, she’s supposed to be unconscious. The new changes should show she’s unconscious alongside Kodey and Erika. Also, there is a change in how Young Templar Antoine reacts to the crashed humvee because of correcting the error.
-
-
- For chapter 10, I changed “NA-MAIN-COM and cc UG-COM” to “ITF-505-COM and cc JHF-US-COM”. This is to match up with the current and future progress of the story’s plot.
-
-
- For chapter 11, I changed the story setting from Lone Paul Outpost to Lone Syracuse Outpost after calculating the time taken to travel from Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Fort Drum in New York on Google Maps. I chose the location of Syracuse, New York, since it is closer and it will be more realistic for Major Rose and her team to conduct a swift military operation against the Ravens at Fort Drum. Also, I changed the part where it mentioned “two to three weeks’ time” to “two weeks’ time”.
-
-
- In addition, I included two new military bases for Chapter 11. These two bases will only mention where A-10 Warthogs and F-16s originated from.
-
As for the recap (From Prologue to Chapter 11), here it is:
-
- During the global zombie outbreak of 2020, Kodey and Erika’s biological mom, Maria Zander, took her two kids to a military checkpoint for evacuation to a safe zone.
-
-
- During the process, a lone zombie caused a small outbreak in the military checkpoint, causing them to run to the coast of Cumberland Bay, hoping to reach the safe zone by swimming.
-
-
- While making their way, they tried to outrun the zombies chasing them. To their luck, they spotted a US military riverboat patrolling nearby and flagged it down to get rescued. However, their biological mom lost her life in the process when trying to get aboard the ship, leaving them in the care of 2nd-Lieutenant Eleanora Freida.
-
-
- Months later, Lieutenant Freida looked after them in the Grand Isle Safe Zone while Kodey enlisted himself in the reformed New York National Guard as a foot soldier to protect her sister. As for Erika, she enrolled herself in farming and first aid courses to cope with her grief for their biological mom.
-
-
- Unknown to them, a group of beings called the Young Templars are spying on the safe zone using a military drone. They planned to take out the safe zone and kill all adult humans while sparing those aged 16 and below. Young Templars hated humans, and they wished for the eradication of all humans left alive on Earth.
-
-
- Among the Young Templars spying on the safe zone, one of them is Sergeant Sally Flannery. She is an operator of the Ravens, one of the deadliest units of the Young Templars’ military. She and her fellow squad mate, Sergeant Antoine Hass, are on their shift to spy on the safe zone.
-
-
- Soon, the Grand Isle Safe Zone will come under attack by the Young Templars using a type of bioweapon called the Grudgies, thus causing the early stages of the fall of the safe zone.
-
-
- As the Young Templars invade the safe zone, Lieutenant Freida attempts to make a dashing escape with her two adopted kids to avoid getting captured by them. During the chaos, the Young Templars kill human soldiers and turn adult civilians into zombies through their blood while taking those at the age of 16 or below into their custody.
-
-
- Despite their attempt to leave the safe zone unscathed, Sally ambushed their vehicle using her sniper rifle, causing them to crash.
-
-
- The trio attempted to escape from the Raven Young Templars by putting up resistance, but ultimately got captured in the end.
-
-
- After being captured, the Young Templars sent Erika to an unknown military base to convert her into a Young Templar, while Kodey became a prisoner of war in the Ravens’ HQ base at Fort Drum.
-
-
- Unknown to the Young Templars, an unknown group is spying on the Ravens, and they later plan to take them out by destroying Fort Drum.
