Meet Uzgar, Shora's brother.
Surly, isolationist. And the most reliable brother any she-orc could have. An infiltrator and assassin, no defenses can stop him.

New chapter finally out. Had to delay to finish this illustration, which I'm really happy with.
A fantastical cavern city, which the dour inhabitants only somewhat appreciate.

I don't usually notify for edits on my novels. But I made substantial changes to Chapter 5 Loneliness and Chapter 6 Goodbye. Chapter 6 is twice as long.
Shora's decision to leave her brother and live near Javad was too easily made before, by all parties. Now both Javad and Uzgar try to talk her out of it. Shora herself considers her options before leaving.
Javad no longer knows that she is coming.

Arald is a new character in the final novel of my Turbulent March series. He's quite even-tempered because he is so much older than any of the other orcs.
They aren't supposed to get old enough to have gray hair like his, but he's a little bit different. And in more than just age. Overall he is a formidable dude.

Thank you for subscribing to The Blossoming Series! The story is wild and takes part from different perspectives so I hope you'll enjoy it :)

New Cover! Duel is basically ready. Will probably start posting the new novel next week.
The basic idea is what struggles and societal barriers would two people of different races have to overcome to be together. Shora is up for it immediately but Javad will prove more reluctant. He likes her, but understands that his people would turn their backs on him.
He will initially turn her down, though they will remain in contact for years as they will come to share the same goal. Through training him, Shora hopes to make peace between her people and his.

Main man Javad. Youngest son of a farmer's large family. In such times it was hard for the youngest to find a place in the world.
As a child Javad was quite a little ruffian. Javad dreamed of leaving his tiny village and becoming a man-at-arms for a famous noble. Fighting all manner of fearsome beasts, chimera, and even the dark orcs of the mountain.
He made the mistake of bragging about this to three toughs. As he picked a fight. Javad gave as good as he got, but they would mock this dream of his, telling him that he hadn't even beat them. How could he brag about defeating an orc warrior if he'd never even met one?
Javad didn't consider himself a braggart. Their challenge intrigued him, so he packed as much food as he could carry and set out for the orc's mountain. He figured the worst case was that his family had less mouths to feed.

Good/Bad news! I've put a good headstart into the "short" story of Shora and Javad. A tale from the future of the Turbulent March series, centered on Qismat.
I'm twenty thousand words into the outline/draft already, its really looking like it will just be a full fledged novel. The events are quite far removed from Rhunal and Bron's arc so it won't spoil anything even though its a few years into the future. As soon as I have an edited first chapter I'll post it as something of a preview.
Here is Shora, she's a much more full-fledged she-orc than the relatively petite Rhunal. The story will begin with Javad and Shora meeting as children, but there will be a lot of time passing throughout the story. It's a pretty quick illustration, mostly to reinforce to myself what she looks like and her overall build.
An illustration of Javad will be next, but this novel will only get a couple illustrations. The one planned is the showdown between my favorite real-world animal and a hybrid monster.
Working name of the novel is "Duel".

Thank you everyone for a great Inksgiving. Everyone was very generous. A big shoutout to Ratscout for donating 11000 ink, singlehandedly hitting the first goal and the first short story goal. We hit the 20000 ink goal as well, total of two short stories coming up over the holidays.
Happy Inksgiving Monday everyone. I'm just about finished the illustration for the Inksgiving episode. Just the story to complete.
