Wake up. Get dressed. Go to work. Repeat
My name is Haru Eguchi, age 34. I work as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer at this large company. To be honest I am nothing but your “average Joe”. When I was younger I always wanted to be that superhero you would see in movies or that one op anime character but there is a difference between dreams and reality, for me life has been nothing but a disappointment but eventually you get used to it. In Japan it doesn't matter whether you enjoy life, it's all about who has the most money or power. If you don't have any of that you will get tossed aside like an old broken toy.
Huh, what's that, ah it's a little girl. Looks like she got separated from her parents. Looks like she wandered onto the road, at this rate she will get hit by a car or something. I should just ignore it, it's not like I am some superhero or anything. Huh, there is a truck coming down if that kid doesnt get out of the way she will get hit.
“ Move out of the way”, I yell.
Idiot why did you have to intervene, I say to myself. I ran out onto the road and pushed the girl out of the way. In a sense I felt relieved even though I knew what was going to happen. I am relieved
Darkness. Nothing but infinite darkness. Is this death? It's peaceful, at least I died doing something heroic. It feels like I am drifting in a pool of darkness. Wait, I can hear something in the distance.
I can see a light blinding but somehow reassuring.
Huh, hold on something is not right. I look down at my arm.
Why is it so small? Wait, don't tell me I got reincarnated like you do in Mangas and Anime.
I get lifted and I see a face of a beautiful woman. I guess this is the person who gave birth to me. Why me? What have I done to get this chance? This one in a million chance. I look at her and she gave me a nice warm smile. It made me feel safe and secure. I drift off to sleep. I don't know why I got this second chance to live but all I know is that I am going to live this life to the fullest and not slaving away at some corporate building.
