Maria grew up in the central parts of Sarcovarus. She knew nothing of life beyond the borders as she was told not to go there.

The reason; is a truth long forgotten. A book containing the truth was kept deep within the local library giving access only to the Head Librarian and the town's chief. Inside the town, people lived a normal and happy life, while beyond the borders were chaos and magic. 

Suddenly it stopped raining once but no one thought of it until it hadn't rained for several months. One night in September, water was pouring mysteriously from the sky. The people rejoiced, but to Maria, this was rather sketchy.

How did the rain suddenly stop months ago, and without any warning, how did it start again? The day was very dry so there wasn't actually any sign of rain. Maria decided to take matters into her own hands with the help of her friend Ivan.

It was raining with one-hour gaps in between for more than a week. What was even going on? she met up with Ivan at the library and started explaining the concept. He didn't believe her at first but as the conversation went on, her argument was rather convincing.

"We have a chance to find some clues, I mean - we're in a library", he suggested.
