Zoey's red hair was neatly combed back, contrasted with everything else that was going on. The young woman was painting but she wanted to do something outdoors. She knew how to ask June but she also didn't want to tear her away from her work. Zoey then smirked after she had thought about it.
She started to sneak around the hallway, careful to not make any noise as June was very jumpy. "I don't want to scare her," Zoey spoke to herself quietly as she trailed about their mansion. The young woman noticed what time it was and she smiled softly. It's about time for her to stop writing for the day. That's good. Zoey thought, seeing a reason to pull June away from her work, although she knew that June would oblige her in anything she asked her wife about.
Still continuing to sneak around, Zoey had finally approached June's office. Smiling softly, she quietly opened the door to peer inside of the room. True to her thought, June was slowly winding down as she seemed to be drifting off to sleep in the chair she was in. Her laptop laid on the desk, untouched. Zoey gushed over the sight and her brain had immediately forgotten about the ice cream. Zoey had approached the fluffy chair and she watched as June continued to fight sleep. She then tsked at June, causing the woman to look over at her in shock.
If it wasn't for the fact that she was used to Zoey's shenanigans by now, June would have screamed. Instead, she inched closer to Zoey, allowing her to lift June into her arms. "You need to sleep on an actual bed," Zoey's red eyes clashed with June's gentle blue eyes. June gave her a soft yet tired smile at Zoey. "How was work?" Zoey asked her. June placed her head in Zoey's neck.
"Exciting," June muttered out. Zoey knew that June could never utter anything beyond one word at once when she was tired unless she forced herself to. "Horror," June explains more.
"Aw, poor wifey. You don't like even like horror movies," June nodded her head at Zoey's words and it made Zoey smile softly, glad that June had admitted that.
"I love you," June spoke up, about to fall asleep.
Zoey smiled at the words.
"I love you too," she responded back.
Zoey carried June back to their room and when she softly kicked open the door, she set June down onto the soft blue sheets. The smaller woman immediately curled up in bed but she peered at Zoey after seeing that the woman didn't join her for a nap. "Nap with me?" She asked, staring at Zoey cutely. Her blue hair was a mangy mane right now but she didn't care and she knew that Zoey didn't care.
Zoey crawled into the bed and she held onto June, which allowed the woman to finally fall asleep.
