Master J'iri took a deep breath and closed the book. In the next couple of seconds his door would open and expected guess would appear. Looking up his eyes wondered around in his auditorium. It was not too big but at least 50 students could sit there without a problem. However he could not remember when was the last time that happened. he let out a deep sigh and looked at the door.
The knock was not polite, you can tell how fast someone knocks as well as the force he uses. Not only this this knock was average speed but it also was loud. With another deep sigh master J'iri said ,,come in".
the door opened to reveal a male in his late twenties. He entered and without stopping or without any invitation walked towards the chair in front of the desk that master was sitting. A he set down, he leaned back, crossed his legs and smiled. Air around him was dark, room itself was lit in formal way, nothing too much but you could see everything clearly. The young man was wearing black robes. Master J'iri looked closer into his world, to see if he was making air around him darker, but that was not the case. ,,This is worse than what I expected" then he smiled and looked at young man
,,nice for you to come kil'm, I have certain matters to discuss with you" his smile was not bright, nor wry.
,,Well you DID ask me to come master and since I had no other plans for tonight, I thought why not visit my old mentor, it has been far too long since you taught me anything"
,,that is true kil'm, it has been far too long, maybe more than it should have been" young mans face did not change at all but J'iri could see the dark sparkle, in his dark black eyes. ,,it was not how I intended, but let's call this night a private lesson for you kil'm, for there is much for you to learn".
,,Master J'iri with all due respect, I doubt there is much for you to teach me. Or maybe you got lost in your research so much that you missed my achievements". his smile did not fade, it actually grew larger, yet no sane person would call this a smile. His lips were crescent shaped, challenging the whole world.
,,I am afraid you are wrong Kil'm, you are wrong, I do know everything that you have done and you do have to learn many things from me". Master looked down to his hands crossed them before looking back into his dead black eyes
,,You are Kil'm the thunder-dome, savior or fifteen islands, slayer or dead hands legion and founder of the eleventh rule" Kil'ms smile came back, now there was satisfaction and arrogance. yet there was disgust in there too.
,,And by looks of it, you seem unhappy that neither us nor the church gave you one true freedom, you see the reason why you are not worthy of that IS why you need more to learn". The room got darker, suddenly the lamps had no power. no, it would be more appropriate to say that the world they tried to shine rejected them. The smile was gone, finally kil'ms face got as dark as his eyes. ,,First you smut clean all of the dirt from foundation to build something new" thought master J'iri
,,How dare you look down on me, while you sit here, hiding and creating the secrets, I am out there fighting for you. Do you have any idea how many times I was about to die. dead hands legion got me trapped for five years and no one came to help. I was starving and bleeding for three years, I remember every single hour of those years, if I let go of my world even for a second I would have perished, I had to feel the pain, the blood the hunger, everything in order to control them, for three years and no one even tried to help me. I am stronger than most of the people here or out there as well, that is why you are not giving me one true freedom, it is because you are afraid of me".
,,I thought you were smarter kil'm we both know that there are different reasons why you are still under us". Kil'm was about to say something but he froze, his darkness suddenly grew pale. Without him noticing master J'iri changed his face and mirrored kil'ms. ,,what a stupid joke:, thought kil'm, however, the realization came down on him like an avalanche, the mana flow was not distorted, he did not feel any changes and that was impossible. Their worlds were constantly colliding, it was impossible for him not to notice any change. Witch meant one thing. Master J'iri did not change his face with his powers, he altered kil'ms mind with his world. He jumped back fast and hard, he knocked the chair over. ,,I have to step back for at least ten meters" his jump was big and strong but it should not have lasted for more than two seconds. However after four seconds he realized that his feet had yet to touch the ground. Kil'm looked down and saw that hew was standing still, yet he could not feel it. His mind instantly cracked and crushed under the realization that even though he was standing at least sixteen meters away, J'iri still had full control over him, with his world. Kil'm felt cold sweat. It has been so long since he felt it. Not knowing what to do, he just stared. Out of breath, out of ideas, out of options.
Master J'iri was still smiling, he did not move at all
,,please Kil'm sit down he have a lot to talk about, I am sorry if I startled you, but I doubt you would listen in any other way, please sit down"
Kil'm felt his senses coming back, everything was back to normal. His darkness now looked pale, one might eve call it grey. As he set down he took a deep breath and looked at his old mentor. He was not nervous, he was calm. Everything that he believed was mostly destroyed just now. He had nothing to offer, nothing to bargain, his status was shaken, his world defeated without any effort. He took a deep breath, quenched the shivers and surrendered.
