Rowan stormed off angrily, beginning to go into a fit. Stop partying this, stop partying that. He was an adult! He should be able to do whatever he wants.
Stupid parents and their lousy rules, he thought angrily to himself, I wish I could move out!
He stomped into his room, slamming the door. Plopping himself onto his bed, he huffed. Why were they so controlling? Never in a million years would he think that they would ground him for MONTHS! But he didn’t put it past them. He hummed, forming an idea. It was actually so simple! He could just jump dimensions. No big deal, right? That’d show his idiotic parents!
Sure, he was a little rusty. But who’s really keeping him from doing this? Not his stupid parents, that is! The last time he did this, he got into quite a predicament. Rowan felt his face get hot, embarrassed of his inexperienced incident that definitely could have been avoided.
“Okay, so. I just summon a portal, right? Easy! Piece of cake, really. I just practiced the spells.
Rowan focused all of his energy into his hands and mind. Closing his eyes, he felt himself flow with energy and power. Opening an eye, he flitted his gaze to an open part of his room. Directing the energy to that area, he saw a spark of red, and before he could react, a ring of fire shaped like a doorway opened. Smiling, he stood up. Gathering his necessities, he walked forward.
He grasped his bag, looking around. No one could, or would, come after him. Seeing the doorway flicker, he took his chance.
Taking a deep breath, he jumped in.
