"Damn it!"
Amphorn was hit by the incoming attack and fell heavily to the ground. The entire city was destroyed because of the impact, the ground was cracked like an earthquake.
Cough! Cough!
Amphorn coughed up blood from his mouth and ears; he could feel his internal organs being shattered.
"Huh, that bastard didn’t hold back at all."
Amphorn took a deep breath, circulated the energy within him, and all his injuries healed instantly. He then clenched his palm tight, and with a push, he jumped into the air.
Zoom!
Boom!
He collided with his enemy at the speed of light, he had no reason to hold back, and his enemy fell into the ocean, causing a tsunami.
He was sure millions of people were going to die because of their fight, but so what? Amphorn didn’t care about any of that.
How could he care about the people when their god wanted their destruction? He might have felt angry in the past, but now he didn’t care.
This world will be destroyed, that is a fact.
"Is that all you got? If it is, then I’m truly disappointed."
Amphorn looked at the person who had just asked the question indifferently and grinned. "Of course not. How can I kill you with just this much power? I know how powerful you are, my internal enemy. But that doesn’t matter. I will defeat you, leave your domain.
Oh ~ I’ll make sure to give you a good beating before leaving, so be prepared.”
"Stop with the meaningless fights and come to me. You are mine, so accept your destiny."
Amphorn’s face turned cold when he heard his enemy talk about his destiny. "I never belonged to you in the past, present, or future. I only belong to myself. Adam, I will never be yours, and I never believe in destiny."
"That isn’t for you to decide. You were born in my domain, and you will forever belong only to me. If you can’t accept it when I’m being merciful, then I will make you accept it the hard way. So come at me with everything you’ve got." Adam said in an indifferent and calm tone.
"Ha! I can’t wait. Today, I made sure to smack that indifferent face of yours."
Amphorn then took out something from his body, and his hair and eyes turned gold and black with a mysterious glow. He then started his offence. There was no need to hold back; today he would regain what he had lost.
Amphorn looked at the half-destroyed world and he was sure this world, along with this universe, would cease to exist at the end of this battle.
'How did this happen? I just wanted to live a peaceful life. Damn it, these days people can achieve anything but a peaceful life.’

A gentle breeze passed through the bodies of the students walking down the hallway. At the end of the summer term, after the exams, all the students had smiles on their faces. Especially the final-year students who had finished their long journey of education and were ready to spread their wings to the wider world.
Near the parking area, there were many bicycles. In the middle of the row, there was a young man dressed in blue jeans and a black oversized top, with his phone in his hand, standing near a blue bicycle, looking very anxious.
He had an above-average face, not very eye-catching among the energetic young adults, and he was in the middle of an inner conflict.
Sigh~
'I’m done? Really? I did my assessments, and what now? Nobody told me what to do after finishing all that. I have to wait for the results, but it will take time. Should I go talk to my friend? No, we aren’t that close. Maybe I should text him about the result date.'
Sigh ~
'Maybe I should go home. Mom will be very pleased. No, if something happens, I’ll need to come back, and I’ll need to take the train back and forth, and that’s going to be tiring, so a big NO. I’ll take care of everything and leave once and for all.
"Oh!"
'Isn’t this the best time to enjoy myself? Seriously, as a professional introvert, this is the best. I can take my sweet time to read all my favourite novel chapters that I put on hold because of the exams and slowly look for a job that I can apply for.
'Oh well, I’m not very clever, and I’m probably an average student, so it’s going to be hard. Thinking about the interviews gives me chills.'
"No, get it together, boy. This isn’t the time for that yet."
'So how should you deal with anxiety about your future? The answer is—let your future self deal with it.'
The young man’s name was Amphorn. After dealing with his inner conflict, he was ready to leave. Amphorn took his bicycle and made his way through the crowd of students towards the exit.
'I’m usually lazy, but today I feel energetic. Is it normal to feel this excited after the exam? I don’t usually get excited, though. Oh well, blame the stress.'
Amphorn walked outside the gate and made his way towards the sidewalk while holding his phone, scrolling through it, and reading his favourite novel.
"Ouch!"
Amphorn touched his right upper arm, feeling slight pain.
'Am I holding the phone too tightly? Why does it feel like it’s burning? No, wait, it feels like I got an electric shock in my upper arm. Well, maybe one of my nerve cells lost its way.'
Amphorn made his way into an open space roadside, felt the breeze, and took a deep breath.
Amphorn touched his heart in confusion.
Bedum, bedum, bedum!
"Weird, why am I feeling like this? Am I excited? Scared? What is it? I’ve got a feeling something is going to happen, and my right upper arm has started to feel itchy and painful. Is the world going to end today?"
'No, of course not, but I feel so not myself. Am I dying? My heart is beating like a drum, but it’s not painful. Maybe I pushed myself too hard during this time, so I should just go home first. My upper arm is very uncomfortable, perhaps an allergic reaction. It’s not a good idea to drive, I guess.'
At the other end of the road, a car stopped. It was hard to see who was inside the car, but the people inside could see what was going on outside.
There were two people in the car, one driver and one person in the back. The driver looked in the rear-view mirror and saw a man sitting in the back but didn’t say anything, so he reduced his breathing sound and tried to reduce his sense of presence.
The man in the back had a tall body, nearly 1.9 meters, and a handsome face that made you wonder if the god of beauty had put a lot of effort into making it. His blue eyes were like lapis lazuli gems.
Thin lips pressed together to form a straight line. His gaze focused on the compass, which contained orange circular patterns and looked very complicated.
There was a purple dot on the compass, indicating that the target was very nearby. The man’s gaze then moved to his left forearm, which had started to ache a while ago.
He then left the car and walked towards the road, holding the compass. The driver looked at the man’s movement and sighed.
"I hope this time everything will be alright; we are nearing the end. I hope this time there won’t be any accidents."
At the other end of the road, Amphorn was walking faster as his heart felt like it was going to burst out of his chest. He had never felt this way before, and he was sure something would happen.
"Seriously! What is wrong with me? Should I rest? But my gut feeling tells me to hurry home.
Ohh Blame the stress. I want to g..…"
At that moment, Amphorn felt a chill down his whole body. His right upper arm started to feel like it was on fire, and it was spreading through his whole body.
He stopped the bicycle and looked ahead. He saw a man walking toward him, holding something in his hand.
Amphorn wanted to run away at that very moment, but he couldn’t move an inch. Amphorn didn’t like this; he hated it when things were out of control, and the man was already just a few meters away.
Step… step…
With every step the man took, Amphorn felt like his heart would burst, and it was starting to hurt, especially in his right upper arm. At last, the man was just one meter away, and he stopped. His blue eyes met Amphorn’s light brown ones.
Bedum… bedum…
At that moment, Amphorn was sure all the strange things that had happened to him were because of this man standing before him.
