3rd POV

Kuchel was sitting in the waiting room with her brother. They were in the hospital, waiting for the doctor's appointment. She was pregnant. Kuchel had a one night stand and during these three months she didn't see the father of her child again. She tried contacting him, but he never answered her calls or messages. Kenny, her brother, was furious when he found out, but he knew she needed him by her side.

-Are you really sure you will be able to raise your kid? – asked Kenny once again. She nodded in response.

-I do. – she said. – Someday you will find a wife and leave me alone. If I keep the baby at least I won't be lonely.

-It will be hard, you're just eighteen.

-I will make it. – she looked as her brother. – Will you help me?

-Of course I will.

The doctor walked out of his office with a clipboard in his hand. He looked at it and invited Kuchel to the office. Kenny went there with her. He sat next to his sister.

-Let's see how the next generation is doing. – smiled the doctor and took the gel to the ultrasonography. – Which month is it?

-Third. – answered Kuchel and saw the doctor's eyes widen.

-Your belly is too big for the third month. – he said and frowned. He put the gel on Kuchel's belly and started the examination. – Looks like you're having twins. Congratulations. – he looked at Kenny. – Take double care of your wife Mr. Ackerman.

-I'm her brother. – said Kenny.

-I'm sorry. – said the doctor. – I made a fast assumption.

-It's fine. – smiled Kuchel. – Are they healthy?

-Everything looks fine.

Time skip

Kenny was driving home in silence. Kuchel rubbed her belly smiling lightly. She was both happy and scared. One baby was hard to raise for a single mother, but twins were a complete different story. Kenny on the other hand didn't know what to say, so he decided to keep quiet. His sister would need him more than he expected, but he was ready to take the risk. He promised that to their parents, on the night they saw them for the last time.

Kuchel's and Kenny's parents died on the New Year's eve in the car accident. A drunken driver hit their car on their way home, killing them both on the spot. Every time they were leaving to work or, like in that case the party, they would always tell Kenny to take care of Kuchel. He would never think that would be the last thing he would hear from his parents, and the last thing he said to them was "I always will." Kenny gripped the wheel and focused back on the road. He parked the car on their driveway and helped Kuchel get out of the vehicle. Then he walked her in the house. She went up to the couch and laid down.

-I'll go shopping tomorrow. – said Kenny. – We will need one more crib.

-Can I go with you?- asked Kuchel looking up at him. – I'm getting bored, I can't do much lately.

-You have to watch out for yourself. – he answered. –We will see how will you feel tomorrow and then we will decide.

-Okay. – she smiled and closed her eyes for a nap as Kenny started making dinner. She was sleeping a lot lately, and had a soft spot for a black tea. Kenny made some and set the cup on the coffee table next to the couch. Kuchel smiled at the smell and sat up carefully. Kenny went back to the kitchen. Kuchel took a sip and felt the liquid warm her up from inside. She looked at the picture of her kids she received from the doctor. Kuchel smiled and took another sip of her tea. She felt a move in her belly.

-You like that? – she asked rubbing her belly. – Seems like we already have more in common that I thought. - She finished her tea and got back to her nap with the hand on her belly. She felt the moves of her kids, and in that moment she felt content and everything seemed to be right.

-I made dinner. – said Kenny and helped his sister get up and sit at the table. He put the plate with a big piece of lasagna on it. She felt another move in her belly when she smelled the food. She immediately got to eating and in no time the plate was empty. Kenny saw the puppy eyes she was giving him and he put another big piece on it. Kuchel never knew she liked Italian food so much. She guessed the pregnancy changed that. – I see that you like it.

-I love it, I love my brother and my kids. – she smiled and took another bite.
