I can feel the heat of the sun burning on my face as my alarm goes off for the first time in ages. I stand up hitting my head on the net my dad placed above my bed. I start to stretch out my arms and legs as it hits me, it's the first day of high school. I don't know if to be excited or terrified for the journey that awaits me when I enter those doors. I got accepted into a Mini school for Film&Arts called Boing.
No one I know is joining me, but I sorta like it that way. I start to put on my new clothes I got for my birthday in February.
My long brown hair hits my face as i run down the stairs smelling the air hoping to find pancakes. My siblings are no where to be seen so I'm guessing they're still getting dressed. Once I take a seat at the table I start to go over my bus ride.
Boing isn't the closest school but it only takes about 20 minutes if I go by bus. Class starts at 9am, but since it's the first day we only have to be there for 3 hours to be given a tour, our schedules, and meet the teachers and staff.
I quickly finish up my food and thank my mom. my younger sister Rose starts to record me as I run from the living room to the bathroom, right back upstairs, and down again. "Rose, what on earth are you doing?" I shout still rushing to place all my belongings in my bag.
"Mom asked me to get a nice photo of you before you ruin your hair!" She said grinning back at me. I slip into my shoes and rinse out my mouth before announcing my leaving.
"Bye everyone! See you all later!" I step out of the house locking the door behind me, the airs cold and fresh. I check my phone for the time, it's 40 minutes till class start, meaning I'll be 20 minutes early to school, just the way I like it.
(*Updates twice a week*) Read as Jaylin goes through the adventures of being a teenager, while trying to figure out her SOGI, (Sexual orientation and gender identity) who her real friends are, and why she always feel a thousand eyes watching her (aka you all!) maybe along the way a certain someone will join her life?! Enjoy and ignore my terrible art skills!
