This story is over ten years old, and when I was rewriting it to fit the comic format, I had some doubts – like if the villains are motivated enough to do their evil things, or if the war I depict is not too violent. I had to imagine all of it since… It’s a fantasy, obviously, but mostly because I was lucky enough not to face any war myself. The real-world evil revealed itself to be blunt and ignorant. Its motives are nonsense based on envy and hatred towards itself and everything around. It corrupts and destroys all it can reach without any ultimate goal whatsoever. However, just like everything else in our world, I believe evil will end. I dream of the time when people could only see evil by watching a movie or reading a comic. I hope that future authors will have to struggle and strain their imagination to come up with the best depiction of evil and not experience it on their own skin. In the real world, I cannot be sure of anything. I can only believe, dream, and hope that the night is darkest before the dawn. Yet, if the night has just begun, and we may not witness the end of it, I can promise you this – just as the smallest light dispels the deepest darkness, be sure love will overcome death, both metaphorically and literally.

The past 20 years, under the command of their cruel Emperor, humans relentlessly pursue the retreating Ulyssean fleet across the galaxy.
