Description
George was supposed to be a wizard. The son of a great noble family of the Society of Sorcerers Born, his life had already been planned out, until he failed the entrance exam to the Magic College of Prax, showing little to no talent for magic. Shamed, George leaves his homeland and everything he ever knew to find a new life for himself. He would find a way to make his life matter, to make his life count for something, even if he had to embrace the new and dangerous knowledge known as....science.
"Rise of the Sciencemancer" is the first novel supporting the game world of Zorethea, the setting for "Labyrinths & Laboratories", a gamification system for high school and middle school science classrooms. Author Jon Klement, a lifelong nerd, has been teaching middle school and high school science for 17 years and gamemastering Dungeons & Dragons and other RPGs for 42 years.
