There's only one way for fallen Angel to enter the physical realm;

a human has to die. 

The moment when a human dies a window opens; such a small window, a tiny opening, a tear drop. It materialises in the blink of an eye. And then, it’s gone as though it never ever existed. 

You have to be quick. You have to be strong. 

You have to be first. 

Humans die all the time. But choosing the right human - the best life to steal, to assume weak flesh as your own - is an art. Every human has a predestined thread, woven into place from the day they were born. There is a time, day, and location, written in the stars for every passing of a human life. This is when the tear will present itself. Some lives, great lives, are fought over by many angels. If you want such a life, you have to fight tooth and nail to get it. Then there are other humans, those with ordinary lives or with less appealing bodies left well alone to die and rot. 

Angels are a picky lot. 

But it doesn’t matter, no human soul is wasted. They, the humans, will be reborn. They will get another chance. 

We do not.

All angels want to Ascend. We have to. And we will risk our very purity and essence to do so. It’s our destiny, our star-crossed reason for being. We’ll do anything to reach the next plane and evolve. Or lose it all and diminish away to nothing trying to.

The body you take will mean everything - from life, to death, to resurrection.

So… you’d better take a good one.
