Write your story. The hardest thing ,I think, for young writers is the fact that they are young. The best advice I've ever gotten in my grand pro-suit of becoming a writer, is write what you know. Now you'd think after being on the Earth for sixteen years I'd finally know something, at least in the writing department.
I've read the books on how to write books, the inspiring website blogs about authors retelling their own struggles and I've watched the 60 second videos. Yet here lie. I think it stems from my lack of determination. Which brings me to my next point, the whole point of these little blog. I Lucy Alverse, will be teaching the struggle of writing as a teenager.
Now you might be think, struggles! What struggles? Now I'm not going to be solely writing about teen issue but I plan to focus my energy on writing issue all writers face. Now to start us off I think we should discuss Titles and how-
" Lucy would you stop monologuing, some of us are trying to study for college test!" My eyes rolled as my fingers skidded to a stop. I let my laptop gracefully fall off my lap onto my bed. I stood up, sticking my head out my doorway and turned my head towards my brothers direction.
"First off, I'm not monologuing and second its not my fault you decided the best time to do your homework is at night, past your bed time!"
" And its not my fault you decided to write past your bed time."
" Its not my fault the moon fulls my inspiration!"
" I'll give you some inspiration, you little-" My brother had attempted to cross his room to I can only guess is straggle me, luckily the fates were on my side tonight.
"AAAAAaaaaaaahhhhh!" I peered into his room, that was two feet away next to mine. He was hoping around on one foot, holding the other one in his hands. I looked around to see what had saved me tonight. There in the middle of the stain floor, highlighted in the glow of the old dingy yellow light sat my hero. Though small, it still took down the giant, just like the pebble did in David and Goliath. The light made its red polish shine, yes ladies and gentleman, I was saved by a lego. Who needs a knight in shining armor with those death bricks lying around your room.
