Walking into eminent danger was never so uncontrolled.
“How did I get here?.” A ghostly force, most likely the subconscious mind, could have guided her here. A place that looked like an exit. The vines were like wood, devils’ ivy curled around them, making an elaborate design of green and a soft brown.
She kept on watching, trying to find cracks of sunlight as it was a relatively bright yet cold day. Although, the vines were woven thick; dense enough to make its wall completely opaque.
Apparently, it was time to take a risk. She was going to use her abilities of what she called ”hand waving”. Magic flowed out like a pale blue wind from her hands.
She took a deep breath and waved her hands, causing the vines to part like a curtain. As she looked through the opening, she felt a sense of both ominous foreboding and adventurous excitement. She couldn't shake the feeling that she was doing something stupid, but curiosity was always too strong to resist.
She hadn’t spoken of this to Tyler, and she didn’t regret it.
So she stepped through.
